17 Days Egypt Tour

After having your 1st breakfast in Egypt at the hotel, you will meet your certified Egyptologist to start your Giza Pyramids tour, when you arrive at the Giza Necropolis, you will stand very close to one of the 7 wonders of the world and the only in existence fully preserved. Your tour guide will explain in detail the history of Egypt and how the idea of building enormous buildings called the Greeks (pyramids) first started. 

Transfer by your exclusive vehicle to the Giza plateau to get a full view of the three pyramids for the kings of Egypt during the 4th dynasty of the old kingdom, Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Ask your guide if you would like to have an unforgettable camel ride in Giza Pyramids (optional activity) and he will book it for you the moment you enjoy the great atmosphere of a 4500-year-old plateau.

Now we will enter the Valley Temple of Chephren that was built to get the king's body mummified to be preserved for resurrection, from the temple, there's a passageway leading to the Great Sphinx, the statue which was cut from a single bedrock of the plateau to symbolize wisdom and strength of the Egyptian pharaoh.

After finishing our fabulous tour to Giza Pyramids, you will be transferred to Cairo downtown, specifically the famous Tahrir Square where you will have an interesting Egyptian Museum tour to see the most ancient collection of Egyptian antiquities displayed inside and outside the 2 floors of the Egyptian Museum. The golden collection of King Tutankhamun will catch your interest, especially the pure gold funeral mask and coffins of the semi-god king according to the ancient Egyptian religion.

Enjoy a local food lunch meal at one of the good quality restaurants before being transferred to the heart of Medieval Cairo, the old market known as Khan El-Khalili Bazaar where you will enjoy Cairo shopping tours and see the Islamic monuments that date back to the 8th century A.D.

Get back to your hotel to stay overnight after finishing the Cairo trips.

You will be met by your tour guide at the hotel lobby after breakfast and transfer to the necropolis of Dahshur to see two of the four pyramids built for King Snefru. The 4th dynasty king who was the father of King Cheops ordered it to be built for him as burial tombs till he finally got his 1st perfect-shaped pyramid in history built, the Red Pyramid. 

You will also see the Bent Pyramid before moving to the Saqqara Necropolis to see the pyramid complex of King Djoser which was built almost 200 years before the gigantic pyramid in Giza, featuring the Step Pyramid and other pyramids like King Teti's pyramid and the tombs of the nobles at Saqqara which you will enter one of them built for the burial of Kagemni, the vizier of Justice and husband to one of King Teti' daughters.

Continue your trips to Cairo to see the place where the first capital of Egypt used to be, the ancient city of Memphis. Now the area is called Mit Rahina and includes an open-air museum where you will see the huge alabaster sphinx that weighs almost 80 tons and the colossal statue of Ramses II along with many other interesting ancient artifacts found by the excavators in the area.

Have your tasty lunch in Giza before being accompanied by your tour guide back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After your breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo airport to catch your flight to Aswan where you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to embark on your Aswan to Luxor Nile cruise boat before lunch. Start your Aswan sightseeing tours first by visiting the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk within the granite quarries, and the Temple of Philae at the end of your Aswan day tours, this temple will capture your eyes by its tremendous beauty as it was built in a Greco-Roman design overlooking the Nile River. Transfer back to the cruise ship and enjoy your dinner and the captain's welcome drink, overnight aboard the boat in Aswan.

After your buffet breakfast, you will meet your guide and transfer to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo which was built for the worship of the crocodile God Sobek who was the chief deity of the region, and one of the forms of the god of the sky, Horus by the name Horaeris. Take your time capturing photos and get back to the boat for lunch while sailing towards Edfu, Dinner aboard the boat, and the night show.

Today, after breakfast you will visit the Temple of Edfu, built for the cult of God Horus, son of Isis and Osiris and protector of kingship as depicted in many statues of the royal kings like the statue of King Chephren inside the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Back to the ship for lunch while your cruise ship sails towards Luxor, dinner, and overnight aboard the boat.

After enjoying your tasty breakfast you will disembark your Nile cruise boat to have a tour of the east and west banks in Luxor starting with the Valley of the Kings where most of the royal mummies and their treasures were found buried in rock-cut tombs during the new kingdom, continue your Luxor west bank tours to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Hatshepsut was one of the most powerful queens of ancient Egypt who ruled Egypt for 20 years of prosperity and peace. We will stop on our way by the two immense statues of King Amenhotep III known as the Colossi of Memnon. 

Transfer to continue Luxor excursions to the east bank of Luxor tours. Visit the beautiful Luxor Temple that was built by King Amenophis III and miss one of the 2 obelisks flanking the entrance which is now standing in the Concorde Square. On your way to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, you will pass by the Avenue of the Sphinxes connecting the two temples.

After finishing your tours in Luxor you will be transferred to the Luxor airport to take your flight to Hurghada as you will have a relaxing and adventurous 3-night stay.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for an early check-out to spend 3 days in Bahariya Oasis and the White Desert tour from Cairo. Your private vehicle is ready, your expert tour guide will meet you to start your drive for almost 4 hours with a few stops for a break.

Once you arrive at the Bahriya Oasis, you will visit the museum of Golden Mummies, which is placed approximately 420 km from Cairo to the oasis, and the Temple of Alexander the Great, who defeated Persia and commanded the kingdom of Egypt in 332 B.C, in addition to the Tombs of the Nobles who ruled the Bahariya during the XVI dynasty of the ancient times, see further the temple of Ein Muftella which is considered to be the city center in the ancient city of Al Qasr which means 'the palace'.
After getting your lunch served in a nice restaurant to try the Egyptian cuisine prepared with natural ingredients, we will go to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure you can take a dip in the hot spring at the hotel.
in the late afternoon we will pick up you again to climb the Black Mountain by the land cruiser to see the ruins atop the mountain, “the English House” enjoying the panoramic view of the oasis during sunset. Overnight in Bahariya.

Have your breakfast at your hotel, then start the tour to Bahariya Oasis and the white desert to see the vast salt lake on the edge of the oasis and the magnificent golden sand dunes. You will be taken to see the palm trees and how the local people escalate them to pick up the fresh dates and see the fruit gardens also.

We are going to stop to have lunch in a pleasant restaurant within the Bahariya Oasis. then we resume Egypt Itinerary 17 Days and move to the White Desert to see the Black Desert, formed by volcanic eruptions and resulted in black rocks covering the whole area, next we will pass by the Valley of El Haize the last village of Bahariya to the south to take a quick swim into the hot spring if you want.

We will transfer you later to see Crystal Mountain and the magnificent Valley of Agabat. Lastly, you will spend your night camping in the White Desert with a chance to enjoy an excellent sunset view while your local guides have your gourmet dinner prepared.

Breakfast will be served in the desert, then we will take you to see the hot springs and to be astonished by the beauty of the white limestone rocks, which have been created throughout thousands of years by the seasonal sand storms that beat the area.

When you reach Bahariya Oasis you will change to a more suitable vehicle and leave the 4x4 car to drive back to Cairo via Bahariya after we enjoyed our last White Desert tours from Cairo, and your tour guide will assist with a quick check-in upon arrival.

After breakfast at the hotel, your accredited Egyptologist will meet you at the hotel lobby to guide you aboard a private air-conditioned vehicle through your overnight tour to Alexandria from Cairo. The drive takes approximately 3 hours with a stop for extending your leg and get something to drink, you will enjoy the highway to Alexandria as your tour guide will present you with historical background about the beautiful city of Alexandria. which used to be the capital of Egypt for 1000 years, along the road until you arrive.

Upon arrival, you will begin your excursions in Alexandria by visiting the legendary Pompey's Pillar, a structural marvel that is put at the center of the ruined Serapeum in Alexandria. The Serapeum was a great Temple during the time of the Greeks in Egypt, mostly built during the Ptolemaic kingdom in Egypt, and was devoted to God Serapis who was thought to be the guardian of Alexandria.

Continue now to visit one of the largest Roman catacombs, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa which is thought to be cut for royal Pharaonic purposes and later has been romanized. The catacombs were used until the end of the 4th century A.D and were later abandoned. Six meters in diameter and about10 meters deep, the surrounding cylindrical water well is the staircase leading down to the 3 floors catacombs.

Enjoy a tasty fresh seafood lunch in a fancy restaurant by the sea and transfer to the hotel for check-in and overnight. Certainly, you can have a nice walk by the seaside at night, kindly let your tour guide know what time you would like to do it.

Breakfast at the hotel and get ready to continue your Alexandria tours as today you will visit the Citadel of Qaitbay which is established upon the wrecks of the ancient Lighthouse Pharos which was destroyed accidentally as a result of a big earthquake that knocked the city during the sixth century A.D and most of the structures and monuments from the ancient city were demolished and submerged under the seawater, there is no proof about the precise appearance of the ancient lighthouse, but the citadel was constructed by the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay who chose to take advantage of the solid support of the lighthouse to build a seaside fortification.

On your way back to Cairo, you will pass by the modern Library of Alexandria which was inaugurated for the people in 1996 after the cooperation of UNESCO. The old library was established at the opening of the third century B.C by Ptolemy I and expanded by his heir and son Ptolemy II.

You will be transferred back to Cairo for a 2 hours drive. Transfer to the hotel in Cairo and overnight.
