Beheira Governorate is a coastal region in Egypt's Nile Delta, known for its agricultural production and historical sites. Its capital is Damanhur, and it's strategically located west of the Rosetta branch of the Nile. The governorate is rich in archaeological sites, including Rosetta (Rashid), famous for the Rosetta Stone. Beheira also holds significance for Coptic Christian heritage, particularly in Wadi El Natrun.
