Your expert tour leader will meet you at your Aswan hotel early in the morning and drive you from the Aswan international airport to Cairo. Once you arrive in Cairo, a private, air-conditioned vehicle will transport you to enjoy your day trip of the Giza Pyramid, which includes lunch and a camel ride.
We begin our excursion with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, the largest of which was built during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, between 2551 and 2528 BC, On the other hand, the others were built during the reigns of Khafre (2520–2494 BC) and Menkaure (2490–2072). Many theories have been built about the construction of the pyramids, but Egyptologists confirm that it was the ancient Egyptians who built them from the time of the Old Kingdom, as the pharaohs of Egypt believed that they would become gods after their death. Thus, they constructed enormous pyramidal temples and tombs for themselves that were furnished with everything they would require in the afterlife. Of Egypt's more than a hundred ancient pyramids, the three most well-known and substantial are "Khufu," "Khafre," and "Menkaure," which are located on the west side of the Nile.
One of the three pyramids will also be shown to us from the interior. The largest and most elaborate chamber is the King's Chamber, where the pharaoh's body was interred in a red granite sarcophagus. The Queen's Chamber is less ornate and smaller.
Enjoying a camel ride in the middle of the desert with the Great Pyramids as a backdrop, just like ancient travelers did, will make your trip even more genuine. It's the ideal time for pictures and a feeling of adventure in the desert.
After an impressive day at the Pyramids of Giza we will take you back to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan and from there to your hotel or cruise ship.
