If you are looking for a trip rich in knowledge and history, this is a great value trip that will take you, as soon as you arrive at Cairo airport, to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, one of the most outstanding modern cultural buildings in Egypt, as it combines the elegance of the past with the sophistication of the present. The museum is situated in the city of Fustat, in the center of Cairo, and features a sizable collection of artifacts that chronicle the history of the Egyptian people from antiquity to the present.

Visiting the Egyptian Civilization Museum is a unique experience, as you start by wandering through the different halls that express the various stages of Egyptian history, from prehistory through the Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Islamic, and modern eras. A tour of the Royal Mummies Hall, which houses the bones of Egypt's most famous kings and queens and is decorated in a majestic manner that evokes the majesty of its owners and the sacredness of the past.

The idea of establishing the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization began when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced a multinational initiative to construct the Nubia Museum. The agreement between UNESCO and the Arab Republic of Egypt to build both museums was signed in January 1983. The foundation stone was placed in 2002 in the center of Fustat, Africa's earliest and oldest Islamic capital. Following the museum building's best architectural design award, it was given to Dr. Ghazali Kseiba's concept in May 1985.

Once you arrive at Cairo airport, a Cairo Top Tours professional guide will be waiting for you to accompany you on your tour in a modern air-conditioned car to enjoy every moment of your transit tour.

On your trip from the airport, you will visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the first museum of its sort in Egypt and the Arab world, and one of Egypt's most significant institutions. It is an integrated international cultural complex that offers visitors the opportunity to embark on a journey through history to learn about successive Egyptian civilizations through 1,600 objects on display in its central hall, carefully selected to shed light on Egypt's tangible and intangible heritage, as the hall is equipped with digital screens to enhance interaction with the public. The museum also includes the Hall of Royal Mummies, considered the jewel of the museum, which was transferred from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and received in a majestic procession witnessed by the whole world on April 3, 2021, under the honor of His Excellency the President of the Republic on the occasion of the inauguration of the museum.

The Museum's Egyptian Textile Hall was inaugurated, which has a varied collection of 650 different objects, 250 of which were transferred from the following museums: Al-Masry in Tahrir, Islamic Art, Prince Mohammed Ali Palace in Manial, Al-Zariyya in Dokki, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, while the rest were previously exhibited at the Textile Museum in Al-Moez Street. These pieces tell the story of the evolution of fashion through different eras and everything related to the textile industry, starting from prehistoric times in ancient Egypt, through the Greco-Roman, Coptic, and Islamic eras, to the modern and contemporary era.

After having one of the delicious dishes in Cairo at one of the local restaurants, we will take you back to Cairo Airport to catch your flight.
