Day Trip to Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids

At the beginning of your exciting day, we will head to the Great Egyptian Museum, which was built to be the largest museum of antiquities in the world, with a capacity of 5 million visitors per year. In addition to commercial and recreational service buildings, a restoration center and a museum garden are to be planted with trees already known to the ancient Egyptians. Egypt has launched a campaign to finance the project, with Japan's JICA providing soft loans. The museum will house more than 100,000 artifacts from the Pharaonic, Greek, and Roman eras, which will give a major boost to the Egyptian tourism sector.

We will embark on another unique journey to the Pyramids of Giza after enjoying a delectable lunch at one of Cairo's neighborhood eateries. The pyramids of Khufu, his son Khafre, and his grandson Menkaure, as well as the well-known Sphinx, are in Giza, one of Egypt's most well-known archaeological sites. Every king's pyramid had a collection of pyramids, such as the queens' pyramids, a little pyramid believed to be the king's theological pyramid, and a valley temple from which a path rose to an upper temple called a funerary temple. Within these temples, the priests performed the king's funeral and burial ceremonies. The region still has the wells of the Khufu boats, also called the Boats of the Sun, which were formerly housed there but were recently relocated to the newly opened Great Egyptian Museum. Last but not least, the region has mastabas for the interment of royal family members and dignitaries.
