Itinerary
Early in the morning, after breakfast at your Cairo hotel, one of our knowledgeable, experienced guides will drive you to Siwa in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. passing through the town of Alamein, where you can explore the World War Museum and the war cemeteries commemorating the soldiers who participated in the historic battles. Afterwards, the journey continues through the Western Desert, with stops for rest and lunch. Arriving in Siwa in the evening, check into a traditional eco-lodge. Before dinner, enjoy a magical sunset at Lake Fatnas, where golden colors reflect on the lake's waters, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Following that, you will arrive in the North Coast's picturesque harbor of Marsa Matrouh, where you will enjoy a delicious seafood meal. From El Alamein, it will take you around six hours to reach Siwa. Enjoy a swim in a hot spring before checking into a stunning Eco-lodge hotel for the night.

To get a stunning overview of Siwa, we will head to the historic village of Shali today. Your guide will describe how the locals lived in the cramped quarters and the reasons behind the construction of Shali. Surrounded by a tall wall, the Shali fortress is situated atop a steep hill.Nearby is the main entrance, which is referred to as "City Gate" or "Bab Inshal" in the Siwa people's Amazigh language. Another choice is the ancient mosque, one of the oldest in North Africa. As part of the Shali rehabilitation project, the mosque was repaired and reopened in December 2015, and prayers are being held there.
