Itinerary
Our trip departs from your accommodation in Cairo or Giza early in the morning, from where we will depart by private car along the Western Desert, a journey that takes about 10 to 12 hours. During this time, we can stop for rest and lunch along the way before arriving in Siwa in the afternoon.
After driving you from Cairo to Siwa Oasis via El-Alamein Road, we will first take you to the El Alamein area, where you may walk among the cemeteries on Alexandria's west side and visit the World War II Museum. The German-Italian forces were moving near the Nile River when the Allies, led by Britain's Field Marshall Montgomery, stopped them in 1942. Even though there were substantial casualties—roughly 11,000 people were killed and 60,000 injured—it was a significant win for the Allies.
Following our meal of fish and a quick tour of Marsa Matruh's beaches, we will go to Siwa to see the sunset at Fatnas Island before reaching your lodging.

In the morning and after having breakfast at the ecolodge, we will start our excursion of the day with a visit to
Old Shali Castle: It is considered one of the most important monuments in the region; even the word “Shali” in the Amazigh dialect means “fortified city.” The castle was built by forty men from the people of the oasis nd was built on top of a giant one-story rrock efore other floors were added to it, up to five, as well as the construction of a large wall surrounding the building; as for the material of the castle The village of Shali was built entirely out of kerchief, which is a mixture of salt, clay, palm supports, and olive trees, and this mixture, when dry, was very hard and difficult to destroy and collapse, and building with this material gave the dwellings warmth in winter and moisture.
The Temple of Revelation, also known as the Temple of Amun, is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Siwa Oasis. It was founded by King Ahmose II during the 26th Dynasty and is significant because it served as the landing site for the idol Amun's revelation and was a temple of prophesy and divine revelation.The temple is associated with many stories, the most famous and important of which is the story of Cambyses' lost army, which was sent by the Persian King Cambyses in 525 BC. According to reports, the temple was visited by Alexander the Great around 331 BC. The visit of Alexander the Great to the Siwa oasis is also linked to the temple.
The Mountain of the Dead: It was the main necropolis of the oasis of Siwa during Antiquity. The oldest tombs date back to the XXVI dynasty, and the burials continued until the late Roman (Byzantine) period. The Mountain of the Dead owes its importance to its colorful tombs, among which four tombs stand out: the tomb of Ba Thoth, the tomb of Misu Isis, Se Amun's tomb, which is the most exquisite in the Western Desert, and the Crocodile's tomb both feature full sceneries that capture the ancient Egyptian belief in immortality and resurrection.
After that, you will enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Cleopatra Spring, swimming and diving in the crystal clear waters, after which you will be transferred to Fitnas Island to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime sunset view.

On the morning of the third day, after breakfast, we will start our magical adventure through the heart of the Western Desert, where you can travel to the depths of unspoiled nature in one of the world's most stunning desert regions—the Great Sand Sea in Siwa, a huge dune region made up of three sand seas— in the southwest of the Western Desert that runs along the Egyptian-Libyan border between the Great Gulf and Siwa Oasis, a soft dune area with a width of 200 kilometers. It is roughly 650–500 kilometers long from north to south and 350–160 kilometers wide from east to west. The Great Sea of Sand is situated between the Siwa Oasis and Jaghbubub in the north and the Great Gulf Plateau in the south.
Then we will continue our adventure by visiting Bir al-Wahid, a natural sulphurous water spring amidst the sand. We can enjoy swimming in the warm water with therapeutic properties, and it includes a green space, date palm trees, a cold water lake, and a hot water well next to it, and visitors enjoy bathing in them, and sitting under the trees surrounded by sand dunes from everywhere.
In the end, we'll cap off our day with a visit to Shayata, a low-lying area with small lakes and charming dunes, is one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset in Siwa. You can stop there to enjoy a traditional Bedouin session, sipping Siwi tea as the golden rays of the sun reflect on the desert sands.
