In the end, we will culminate our trip with a visit to Karnak Temple, the most important, largest, and oldest temple in the world, which is the largest house of worship in human history. It was named “Karnak Temples” because it includes 11 temples inside it and not one temple as rumored, and its name was in the ancient Egyptian civilization, the temples (Amun Ra Sigem Naht), where it was built to be a house of worship for the holy trinity of Thebes, and this trinity consists of the god “Amun,” his wife “Mot,” and their son, the god “Khonsu,” as the temple in its current form reaches an area of more than 247 acres and thus is recorded as the largest and oldest house of worship in the world today. The entrance to the temples is the “Road of the Rams,” filled with statues of an animal that was a symbol of strength for the pharaohs, and the temples inside Karnak were built starting from the 11th Dynasty around 2134 BC. It was surrounded by mud-brick walls connected to each other by corridors guarded by two rows of statues of the Sphinx and currently includes a group of 11 temples, the most famous of which are “the temples of Amun, Khonsu, Akhenaten, Mut, Ptah, Ramses III and Ramses II.”
