We will start our day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where most of the kings of the XVIII, XIX and XX dynasties of the New Kingdom were buried, this place was carefully chosen to bury the kings, as it is located on the west bank of the Nile, The majority of ancient Egyptian tombs were often found on the west bank of the Nile River because the sun god descends "dying" in the western horizon to be resurrected and regenerated in the eastern horizon. We can visit several wonderful tombs while visiting this valley, such as : The tomb of King Thutmose I, the third king of the 18th Dynasty whose first tomb was KV20 (next to his daughter Hatshepsut), later moved to KV38 and was characterized by walls inscribed with religious texts, but most of the decorations were lost due to theft and natural elements. Next we will head to the tomb of King Thutmose III (Tuthmosis III)—KV34, one of the greatest kings of the New Kingdom, and the walls of his tomb are decorated with texts from the book “Amduat” (what is in the other world), with yellow inscriptions on a blue background, and finally we will visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun—KV62, one of the most famous kings of Egypt due to the discovery of his almost intact tomb in 1922 by Howard Carter.
We will then continue our excursion with a visit to the Valley of the Queens, This offers insight on the burial customs and beliefs of the ancient Egyptians during the New Kingdom era, making it extremely valuable historically. The Valley of the Queens includes the tombs of several royal children, and among the prominent figures buried in the Valley of the Queens is Queen Nefertari, the favorite wife of Pharaoh Ramses II. In the entire valley, her grave, designated QV66, is among the most exquisite and well-preserved. Other important people buried in the valley are Queen Teti, supposed wife of the pharaoh of the XX dynasty, and Prince Khemwast, son of Ramses III. Their tombs, along with others in the valley, provide valuable information about the royal lineage and family relationships of the pharaohs of the New Empire...
