Early in the morning, one of our representatives will pick you up from your accommodation in Sharm El Sheikh and take you to the airport for your short flight to Cairo. There, your tour guide will be waiting to take you in a private air-conditioned car on a legendary tour that combines Pharaonic and Coptic history in one day.
The first thing that catches your eye is the magnificent sight of the three pyramids of Giza, located in the middle of the Giza Plateau, as if defying time. There, we will visit the following:
The Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and most famous, stands tall as an icon of ancient Egyptian greatness and engineering creativity.
Next to it is the Pyramid of Khafre, whose summit still retains remnants of its white limestone cladding, giving it a special charm.
The tiniest pyramid, the Pyramid of Menkaure, offers a fresh perspective on the monarchs' conception of immortality.
Our adventure would not be complete without standing in front of the legendary Sphinx, this huge stone guardian that combines the strength of a lion with the wisdom of a pharaoh, watching over the place with silent eyes for thousands of years.
Next, we will transfer from Giza to Saqqara, where the story of the pyramids began. There, we will stand before the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest massive stone structure in the world and the first conception of the idea of a “pyramid.” With its royal tombs and inscriptions that illustrate the history of the ancient Egyptians, from their festivals and beliefs to the specifics of their everyday lives, the location resembles an outdoor museum.
We'll go to Coptic Cairo, one of the world's oldest Christian sites, after exploring the depths of Pharaonic civilisation. During this unique tour, we will visit the following:
The Hanging Church: Built above the Babylon Fortress, it appears to be suspended between heaven and earth.
The Church of Abu Serga: associated with the passage of the Holy Family during their journey to Egypt.
The tour is completed with a visit to the uniquely designed Church of St George.
Here you will feel a special spirituality, breathing in the fragrance of the past and touching the religious and cultural diversity that has shaped Egypt's identity throughout the ages.
