On your second day in Cairo, you will start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, then our guide will take you in a modern vehicle to enjoy an unforgettable day.
We will start our day with a visit to Salah El-Din Al-Ayyubi Castle, the majestic fortress overlooking Cairo from Mount Mokattam. There, we will witness the splendour of Islamic architecture at the Marble Mosque of Muhammad Ali with its imposing domes and magnificent decorations. We will also learn about the history of the citadel, which was the centre of government and defence for centuries, making you feel as if you are walking through the pages of living history.
We will continue our tour towards Coptic Cairo, the oldest and most spiritual neighbourhood in the capital. We will enjoy walking through its narrow, cobblestone alleys to visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, and the Church of Abu Serga, which is said to have welcomed the Holy Family during their journey to Egypt. The atmosphere here is one of tranquillity and awe, where the scent of incense mingles with the sound of bells in a rare spiritual scene.
Next to these churches, we find the great Coptic Museum, a tranquil architectural masterpiece that houses the largest collection of Christian artefacts in the world.
