Easter’s Cairo short Break

Start your day in the morning by meeting your tour guide in the hotel to visit the area of Saqqara. Saqqara is a great city that includes historical treasures and every day reveals a discovery for the world day after day. When you go to Saqqara, you will see the Stepped Pyramid for King Djoser that was built by the famous ancient architect Imhotep, which was the first trial to consist of a pyramid. The pyramid also includes internal burial rooms. You can also see the Onas and Teti Pyramids in Sakkara. Then, you will start to move to the second area of the Giza plateau. 

When your car starts towards the Plateau, you will see the Pyramids start appearing and get bigger and bigger when you come closer, showing majesty and prestige. When you are close to the Pyramid, you will be amazed by the hugeness of the high and massive construction; therefore, they are one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The area includes three massive, majestic pyramids for three pharaohs and the great statue of the Sphinx. The great Sphinx is the largest carved body or statue in Egypt by King Chephren, who is also one of the three great kings from the three great Giza Pyramids of Egypt. Our final site in this area is the Valley Temple. It is a temple that was built near the Nile River and was connected by a parade route.

After seeing the fascinating pyramids, we will move to see Memphis city, which was the capital of Egypt for so long time. It embraces many artifacts and sights that show you the lifestyle of the ancient Egyptians, dedicating it to Petah. You will see the statue of the Sphinx from alabaster, in stone; in addition, you will see the statue of King Ramses II from the black stones. Finally, you will be returned to your hotel to rest. 

In the morning, your tour will start with your delicious breakfast in the hotel and getting ready to your tour. The professional tour guide will meet you to start discovering the very unique places of the capital of Egypt. The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square is a massive treasure: It has a very rich collection of historical pieces from the history of Egypt.

 In addition, when you get into the Egyptian Museum, you will be amazed by the stories behind each piece of the Egyptian kings, nobles, queens, and gods.  You will also have the opportunity to see mummified bodies back to Yuya and Tuya and mummified huge animals in a wide hall. One of the things that you shouldn’t miss inside it is seeing the jewels and the valuable possessions of the Egyptian kings. 

Then, you will be transferred with your tour guide to explore one of the top medieval Islamic sites in Cairo. It was built to protect Cairo from any possible danger. The word Cairo in Arabic means the conquering of your enemies. Inside the citadel, you will be able to visit the Muhamed Ali Basha’s Mosque, a fascinating mosque decorated with the stones of Alabaster and including a unique Islamic art. 

After this, we will start discovering the Coptic history of Cairo by visiting the church of the Virgin Mary in the Old Cairo area. Its foundation does not extend directly into the ground, but it was built above the ruins of two Babylon towers; therefore, it sounds like to is hanging from above and gained the name of hanging church. The roof of the church is designed in genius shape of Noah's Ark, and it has an inverted wooden dome.

We will walk small steps to enter Ben Ezra synagogue: according to Jewish traditions that the synagogue was the place where they found Moses, the child in the Nile River. Moreover, it includes a very important room known as Cairo Genezia, where historians have found the oldest and largest collection of Jewish manuscripts in the world. 

We have come to the end of the tour, you will go back to your hotel to have some rest.

The fourth day will be the end of your Easter tour. After enjoying your delicious breakfast meal. Your tour leader will be waiting for you to transfer you to Cairo International Airport after checking out of your hotel.
