Start your day with the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Stand before these mighty edifices, learn some of their fascinating history, and take some breathtaking photos. Then visit the Sphinx Egypt's mysterious guardian of the pyramids, and continue to the Valley Temple, where ancient mummification rituals took place.
Moving on with Giza-here you would go to Saqqara, which is essentially a huge burial ground on the way to Egypt's architectural evolution. Here, you will visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first pyramid built ever, and the richly decorated tombs of nobles-laden with carving and color-painting. Now enjoy a typical Egyptian lunch in a local restaurant before starting the journey back to Alexandria. As you drive back, relax in good thoughts about what your eyes saw and arrive in the evening, recollecting an extraordinary past of Egypt.
