Today, you’re going on an exciting trip to see the Giza Pyramids and Saqqara! You’ll start at Alexandria Port and then travel to the amazing Great Pyramid built for a king named Cheops. When you get there, a friendly guide will tell you all about how the pyramid was built, the clever tricks they used, and why it was so important to the people in ancient Egypt.
Next, you will go to see the pyramid of King Chephren. He is the same king who had the Sphinx built to guard this place. After that, you will visit the pyramid of King Mycerinus, which is the last pyramid built here. Then, you will get to ride camels!
Next, your friendly tour guide will take you to see the amazing Great Sphinx, which looks like a lion with the head of a Pharaoh. It stands for strength and wisdom from ancient Egypt. You will also visit the Valley Temple, a special place where they prepared the bodies of kings and queens for the afterlife. After checking out these famous places, you will enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try some yummy Egyptian food. Then, your adventure will continue to Saqqara, where you will be amazed by the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. This was the very first pyramid ever built and is a big deal in ancient building history!
In Saqqara, you will be taken to visit one of the tombs of the Nobles in ancient Egypt, and you will go inside the pyramid of Teti which has a very beautiful burial chamber.
At the end of the day, our tour leader will take you back to Alexandria port.
