Begin your morning as your Nile Cruise sets sail toward Kom Ombo, a picturesque town nestled on the east bank of the Nile. Enjoy breakfast on board while watching the serene river scenery unfold — palm groves, traditional villages, and golden desert hills drifting by.

Upon arrival, disembark with your Egyptologist guide to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, one of Egypt’s most unique sanctuaries. This temple is remarkable for its double dedication — it was shared by two gods, Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and the creator of the world, and Horus the Elder (Haeroris), the falcon-headed god of the sky and protection.

The temple’s symmetrical design features two identical sections, reflecting the equal worship of both deities. Walk through its majestic halls adorned with finely carved reliefs depicting ancient medical instruments, surgical scenes, and offerings to the gods.
Don’t miss a visit to the Crocodile Museum, which displays a fascinating collection of mummified crocodiles and artifacts discovered near the temple — a rare glimpse into Egypt’s sacred animal worship.

Relax and enjoy lunch while sailing upstream toward Edfu, another jewel of ancient Egypt. Edfu is home to one of the best-preserved temples in the country, like the Temple of Horus, dedicated to the falcon-headed god of kingship and victory.

Upon arrival, you’ll travel to the temple in a traditional horse-drawn carriage, adding a touch of charm to your journey through the local streets. The Temple of Horus at Edfu was constructed during the Ptolemaic Period between 237 and 57 BCE, beginning under Ptolemy III Euergetes and completed by Ptolemy XII Auletes.

Step inside and be awed by the colossal gateway, soaring columns, and hieroglyphs that tell the mythological story of the eternal battle between Horus, the god of the sky, and Seth, the god of chaos. The temple’s perfect symmetry and detailed inscriptions make it a treasure trove for history lovers and architecture enthusiasts alike.

After the visit, return to your cruise ship and continue sailing toward Luxor via Esna, passing through the scenic Esna Lock.

After breakfast, start a new adventure on your Nile Cruise by exploring the West Bank of Luxor, the site of ancient Thebes’ royal necropolis. Accompanied by your Egyptologist guide, visit the Valley of the Kings, where Egypt’s greatest pharaohs were buried in magnificent tombs. Marvel at the well-preserved wall paintings and discover the tomb of King Tutankhamun (optional entry).

Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a masterpiece of ancient architecture dedicated to Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh. On your way back, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic stone statues guarding the entrance to what once was Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple.

in the afternoon, set out for the East Bank of Luxor to visit the glorious Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious structure ever built. Stroll through its impressive hypostyle hall, featuring 134 towering columns, and view the sacred lake used by ancient priests for purification rituals.

Then, proceed to the Temple of Luxor, connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Admire its grand courtyards, colossal statues of Ramses II, and the beautifully illuminated pillars as the sun sets.

You will then be transferred to Luxor Airport or train station for your onward journey or final departure.
