Private tour to the Baron palace, NMEC, and Pyramids

Overview

Private trip to the Baron palace, NMEC, and Pyramids

Enjoy a trip to the beautiful Baron Palace, which is surrounded by trees on all sides. It was one of the first palaces to be built, and a number of famous neighborhoods were built with it until today. Learn about the most important neighborhoods, such as Heliopolis, as this neighborhood is distinguished by its ancient history.

The history of this Indian-style palace is linked to its original owner, Belgian Baron Empain, who was such a fan of ancient Egyptian history and antiquities that he chose Egypt as his permanent residence... Learn about history through a guide who tells you history in an exciting narrative style and in correct English.

Also enjoy on this trip with your licensed guide one of the most important and largest archaeological museums in the world. It is the first museum dedicated to the entirety of Egyptian civilization, as more than 50,000 artifacts will tell the stages of civilization's development from ancient times to the modern era.

We conclude our journey with a visit to the ancient ruins complex, where there are three pyramids known as the Great Pyramids, in addition to the smaller pyramids in the area, and a huge sculpture known as the Sphinx.

Itinerary

Cairo Top Tours offers you a full day in Cairo to enjoy the Baron Palace and the Civilization Museum, as well as the Pyramids area, one of Egypt's most important landmarks. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at the start of the tour and take you to the Pyramids area in the morning, when the desert temperature is a little lower.

The tour begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza. Take pleasure in touring the Khufu Pyramid and its extensions. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the focal point of an intricate complex of structures that also includes two temples dedicated to Khufu: the Mortuary Temple (now disappeared, only a base of black basalt remains of it) and the Valley Temple (still unexcavated, probably lying under the nearby village of Nazlet el Saman), three smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives, an even smaller "satellite" pyramid, a raised causeway connecting the two temples, and small mastaba tombs surrounding the pyramid for nobles and some boat pits.

We will move to the middle pyramid. It was first explored in modern time by Giovanni Belzoni in 1818, and the first complete exploration was conducted by John Perring in 1837.

After exploring the Pyramid of Menkaure and the Sphinx and taking some amazing photos, we will complete our journey at the Egyptian Civilisation Museum to learn new and different information from what you will learn in the Pyramids area. Learn about the Coptic period in this museum, where we find the Bible written in Arabic script and in the ancient Coptic language.

We'll get ready to head to the Baron's Palace after you take a break to eat a delectable lunch at a nearby restaurant. View the external and interior architecture of the palace, as well as the collection of carefully sculpted sculptures made of precious metals that are stored within.  Your guide will tell you about the palace's most significant legends. Your driver will accompany you back to your hotel at the conclusion.
