On this location, there would be three pyramid complexes, the first being this one. His son and successor Khafre (or Chephren, 2518-2492) and the son of him and Queen Khamerernebty I, Menkaure (or Mykerinos, 2492-2472) would follow in his footsteps... Khafre (or Khafre, 2518-2492) was the second King to pick Giza (near Cairo) as the location of his funeral structure, following Khufu (or Cheops, 2551-2528). He was Khufu's fourth son.
Next, move on to the last pyramid with us, the Pyramid of Menkaure. We will also visit the Sphinx on our trip. We know the relationship between the Sphinx and the Pharaohs through the strange stories that have come down to us from their eras.
Some kings used the statue for political propaganda. Others came simply to worship it. Other kings came to hunt and stroll beside it. At the end, your driver will be with you back to the hotel.

In the morning, you will be transferred to the unique city of Alexandria to live an enjoyable adventure. The city of Alexandria was not built by Alexander for the Egyptians, but rather for his entourage and a reflection of his culture. Upon your arrival, we will start a trip to Kom El Shoqafa. Kom El Shoqafa revives the area's ancient Pharaonic name, Ra-Qadet, by being situated in the same location as the village of Rakotis, which is how the Romans referred to it.
You will be taken to Pompey's Pillar after finishing Kom El Shoqafa and touring the tomb to see its engraved characteristics and discover its religious importance. The Pompey's Pillar was erected as a colossal memorial on top of Bab Sidra hill in the hall of the Serapeum temple west of Alexandria. In ancient times, the Pompey's Pillar was in the middle of a portico in the Serapeum temple that included 400 columns, some of which were thrown into the sea by one of the Nubian secretaries of Sultan Saladin in 1167 AD to increase the city's fortifications.

You can visit the El Alamein Military Museum. The museum includes many halls that highlight the roles of Italy, Egypt, Britain and Germany, each of which has a separate, distinct hall. The Egypt Hall documents Egypt's role in World War II, both logistically and on the ground, in accordance with the treaty between Egypt and Britain, which occupied the country at the time, and the wartime losses Egypt endured.
You will then be taken to the Commonwealth Cemetery. 7,367 troops and commanders from Britain, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, France, Malaysia, and India are buried in the Commonwealth Cemetery in El Alamein's historic neighborhood. Alexandria might not be such a popular spot as Cairo (which is known for the Pyramids) and Luxor (the gateway to the Valley of the Kings) but it's certainly worth a visit. This town is flanked by long runs of shimmering sand and clear Mediterranean waters, along with countless hotels by the sea. And it fulls of the beautiful sites that you will definitely will love.
The official currency of Egypt is the Egyptian pound, abbreviated as EGP. The currency is often denoted by the symbol "£" or by the code "EGP." The Egyptian pound is further divided into smaller units, including piasters (or qirsh), with 100 piasters equaling 1 Egyptian pound.
When traveling in Egypt, it's advisable to have some Egyptian pound on hand for small expenses and to be aware of the current exchange rates. It's also relatively easy to exchange major foreign currencies, such as the US dollar and the euro, at banks, exchange offices, and hotels in Egypt, especially in tourist areas. Credit cards are widely accepted in larger establishments, but it's a good idea to carry some cash for smaller purchases and in more remote areas where card acceptance may be limited.
