2-Day Trip from Hurghada to Cairo by Flight

Take a two-day vacation from Hurghada to see the main attractions in Cairo.  Explore Cairo's main sights, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and much more...  With your trip and lodging covered, you may travel without any hassles.

At the head of the Delta, Cairo emerged on the remains of earlier cities.  Memphis was established on the west bank of the Nile during the ancient Egyptian dynasties, while Babylon was established on the east bank during the Greco-Roman period... Egypt's relations with the Mediterranean and Red Sea basins expanded throughout this period.  Cairo is quite different from Hurghada, so explore farther and get to know the city.

Enjoy this tour and learn about Cairo during the reign of Saladin. In 567 AH/1171 AD, the second phase of Cairo's life began, when it became a city for everyone. For the Sultan, his troops, and his entourage, it had been a little town.  It had expanded considerably by the early 13th century in comparison to the Fatimid period.  In order to protect it from the Crusaders, it had a fortress above it and a large stone wall that connected it to its port on the Nile.

Daily Details for Travel Tour and Activities

An air-conditioned car will pick you up in the morning to catch your flight, so you can go from Hurghada to Cairo and see its attractions. The Pyramids of Giza are where we start our journey...  Consider what the region around the huge and towering Pyramids might have looked like 5,000 years ago.  It captures the beauty and brilliance of ancient Egyptian artisans as well as how important attention to creative detail was to the ancient Egyptians.

From the Nile Valley to the vicinity of the Pyramids.  On the banks of the Nile, close to the Pyramids, the ancient Egyptians constructed the Valley Temple, which is reached via a path known as the "Procession Road."  In the Valley Temple, the Pharaoh's body was mummified and his mummy was prepared following his death...  Then it was taken in a great procession to the Mortuary Temple, a temple just close to the pyramid.  Following the completion of religious rites, the corpse was carried into the coffin room and put within the coffin.  See for yourself the Valley Temple.

After seeing the scary Sphinx and the three pyramids, take a moment to relax, eat lunch, and then proceed to the Step Pyramid, which you will see was constructed in phases. A mastaba was built with a height of about 8.5 meters, then 9 meters on the eastern side, thus adding 11 wells belonging to the Djoser family to the body of the building. The building's height was then increased by 60 meters by adding four mastabas, one over the other, giving it a pyramidal form.

The Saqqara area is full of other areas and monuments such as the Kagemni Tomb, the Imhotep Museum and many others. Enjoy all of this and more with us.

When mentioning the capitals of ancient Egypt throughout ancient Egyptian history, in the north, center, and south of the country, the capital of capitals, Memphis, comes to the forefront, crowning all the capitals. The city of cities witnessed the unification of the two regions of Egypt at the hands of its strong men from Upper Egypt, led by Scorpion II (one of the kings of the Zero Dynasty) and King Narmer (head of the First Dynasty). The location of this capital (circa 3200 BC) was chosen with great care to play a role in the story.

At the end, your guide will leave you, and your driver will take you to your desired destination.

We will begin our journey to the Saladin Citadel after breakfast at the hotel. A crucial component of the citadel's defensive system during military operations, the defense towers are encircled by an impressive and sturdy three-tiered wall.

See the castle up close and learn about it. There are two separate portions to the citadel.  The first is rectangular in shape and has walls on both the north and east sides. It is situated on the northern side.  Because of its square and round towers, it served as a military stronghold throughout the reigns of Saladin and his brother, King Al-Adil.

Our second destination is the Egyptian Museum. Among the Diverse and fascinating exhibits exhibits at the museum is the diorite statue of Khafre, which is considered to be one of the most magnificent pieces of ancient Egyptian sculpture...  It captures not just the grandeur of Old Kingdom art but also the king's authority and the intimate bond between him and the gods.  Situated in Room 42 on the Main and distinguished floor of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the statue was discovered in the Valley Temple of King Khafre in Giza and is currently one of the museum's most notable displays.

After that, you will be transferred by bus back to Hurghada.
