Day Tour to Mummification & Luxor Museum with Karnak Temple

Overview

Enjoy a visit to the Luxor Museum, which was opened during the reign of former President Mohamed Anwar Sadat with his guest, the President of the French Republic at the time, Valéry Jasiccard de Staën, to be a unique tourist attraction.

We offer you a window into the secrets of the pharaohs and the afterlife, especially when you visit the Mummification Museum. The museum, which uniquely documents one of the most important secrets of the pharaohs—mummification—is celebrating its quarter-century anniversary by organizing guided tours and free workshops for visitors.

The workshops aim to introduce visitors to the museum's history and archaeological collections and raise awareness of tourism and archaeology... The workshops include the creation of archaeological models simulating the mummification process in ancient Egypt, as well as mummification tools, coffins, and deities from the afterlife.

We will certainly not forget the most important temple on the East Bank, so that your trip is complete and includes museums and the Karnak Temple, in addition to tasting Egyptian food.

Itinerary

To begin your unique Luxor day excursions, our guide will meet you at the hotel early in the morning and drive you there in a cosy, air-conditioned car. We start with a visit to Karnak Temple Explore the huge Karnak Temple and the most important new discoveries such as the Karnak Temple Hideout after 121 years, the Karnak Hideout is the largest archaeological discovery in history, 17,000 statues, Thutmose III, Menkaure and Susenart I, the most famous

Most of these statues are currently in different museums such as the Luxor Museum, which was included in our trip, the Egyptian Museum (you can ask us about our offers for the tour of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo) and the Louvre Museum in France, and the work took about 4 years to extract this huge amount of statues, pieces and various archaeological blocks, as the work was stopped in 1907, after digging to a depth of about 9 meters.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we head to the Mummification Museum. The museum also displays a number of human mummies and a collection of animal mummies, including crocodiles, cats, and fish. The Mummification Museum in Luxor is the only museum of its kind specializing in documenting mummification practices in ancient Egypt. After that, we'll take you to your lodging.

Egypt is one of the most enduringly picturesque locations, in my opinion. From the time we were little, we have vivid memories of these ancient ruins, including the Great Pyramids and King Tut's funerary mask. Since it is obviously crucial to preserve these artifacts, most temples and tombs have photographic policies that forbid using a flash in particular. It is best to check with your CEO and ensure what is permitted before entering as the policies frequently alter and differ from location to site. In certain temples, taking pictures with anything other than your smartphone is subject to a fee or is openly prohibited, as it is in Tutankhamun's tomb.

Friends and relatives tend to kiss on both cheeks while shaking hands. Greetings between men and women: A handshake may be acceptable in certain circumstances and the woman must extend her hand first. If she does not, a man should bow his head as a sign of acknowledgement.

Egypt has been one of the best and safest tourist destinations. You'll feel at home and as safe as you've ever been surrounded by friendly Egyptian hospitality and helpful locals. You can explore Egypt tours and trips and take pleasure in Egypt's generally very safe cities with some sensible precautions and planning. Visitors will be more than safe in this country thanks to its typically low crime rate, especially in tourist hotspots.

The Sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, typically believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre. It stands as a guardian in front of the pyramids at Giza and is one of the most recognizable symbols of ancient Egypt. The Sphinx is considered a symbol of strength, wisdom, and divine kingship.

Most tour packages include transportation to and from your hotel in Luxor.

Egyptian mummies are made on purpose by people who do special things to keep the body from decaying. Sometimes mummies happen by accident when nature helps preserve the body.

The Middle Kingdom (c. 2000 BCE) saw the start of work at Karnak, while the New Kingdom (c. 1550–1070 BCE) saw the most of the main development. Over centuries, numerous pharaohs added to and altered the temple.
