Tour to the most famous museums in Cairo from Luxor

Overview

Every inch of Egypt, a country with many different civilizations and lively cultures, is buried with valuable historical tales and many secrets.  It is home to several museums that awe and enthrall visitors.  We'll see Egypt's most famous museums along the way, learning about their contents and getting a quick look into our rich past.

Enjoy a trip to the Egyptian Museum, which was established in 1835. This museum has grown to become one of Cairo's most visited. It is regarded as one of the world's earliest museums to be founded as a public institution, being opened to the public in 1902 in its current configuration.  The collections of the kings' tombs and the Middle Dynasty royal delegation from Dahshur in 1894 are the most significant of the museum's more than 180,000 objects.

Enjoy Abdeen Palace because it is not just one museum or archaeological treasure but four museums: the Medals and Decorations Museum, which houses royal possessions, decorations, and medals; the Arms Museum, which has a section for firearms, bladed weapons, and the cannon square.  The Silver Museum, the third museum in the palace, is devoted to conserving the gold, silver, crystal, and colored crystal belongings of the royal family.

Constructed On Abdeen Palace as one of the building stones in Khedive Ismail's plan to build a new modern Cairo. Immediately crowned as 1863's monarch of all Egypt, he mandated the creation of the palace. Abdeen, one among Muhammad Ali Pasha's military generals, preserved its name and resided therein before it developed and was wrecked. Khedive Ismail loaded the palace from Abdeen Bey's widow after his death, destroyed, expanded his grounds for building, increased the area to 24 acres, and erected a huge, beautifully designed palace with exquisite decorations, already having obtained so many arts around its walls.

In recent years, an increasing number of Egyptians have raised awareness of this harassment issue. Greater media attention is partly to blame for this. Because of these successful initiatives, harassers have begun to back off because they are well aware of the repercussions.

For all we know, the oldest hieroglyphs found by archeologists that have been securely dated were from the period of Naqada II (3500 – 3200 BCE) which makes this script no less than 5000 years old.

The museum offers a remarkable insight into Egypt's rich history and culture.

Entrance fees to archaeological sites are typically not included in the tour price and must be paid separately.

The Egyptian Museum is like a big, special place where we can see really old things from a long, long time ago in Egypt. It has lots of cool stuff like the things that were buried with a famous pharaoh called Tutankhamun, as well as things like mummies, jewelry, bowls they ate from, and toys that belonged to other ancient Egyptians that we don't know their names anymore.

Wear breezy, light clothing and take a stroll in comfortable shoes. Including a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is a smart idea. It is customary to wear modest clothing when visiting houses of worship.
