You will be transferred by tourist bus to Cairo, then upon arrival, we will take you on a pyramids tour. The original entrance to the Great Pyramid is located at the thirteenth amphitheater of the north side, 20 meters above ground. It was completely hidden by the accumulation of sand and debris. This may have been a measure to thwart any attempt to break into the pyramid.
Our current entrance was excavated during the time of Caliph al-Ma'mun in the ninth century AD. It is located on the same northern facade but at the sixth runway of the pyramid. See the two entrances, and if you want to enter the pyramid, don't forget to ask for a ticket, as they are separate.
It has been suggested that the pyramid was originally meant to be larger at its base, and a change in its plan from a larger base to a smaller base in the center, resulting in a lattice closure system built at the beginning of the lower and upper horizontal corridors. See Khafre's pyramid up close and learn how it was built with our guide.
You will visit the Great Sphinx is located southeast of the Great Pyramid complex and northeast of the Valley Temple of the Second Pyramid. It was a rocky mound left by the builders of the Great Pyramid when they were quarrying stone for its inner core. It was changed into a massive reclining lion with a human head under Khafre's rule. It may have been covered with a layer of plaster to help preserve it.
Enjoy lunch after we transfer you to the Egyptian Museum and enjoy the beauty of the statues, such as the statues of Prince Ra-Hotep and Nefert. These statues were found in Meidum. They date back to the Old Kingdom, the beginning of the Fourth Dynasty, the beginning of the reign of Sneferu... Although these two limestone statues represent a couple of courtiers who lived at the time of the builders of the first pyramid, we have many opinions about the position and title of Ra-Hotep.
When your bus journey from Sharm el-Sheik to Cairo is over, you will be taken back to the bus terminal to board the bus that will transport you there.
