After breakfast at your hotel, your English-speaking tour guide will meet you to begin your exploration of the Giza Pyramids. You’ll visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, as well as the Pyramid of his son, Chephren, and the smaller Pyramid of Mycerinus. You’ll also discover the Valley Temple of King Chephren and the iconic Great Sphinx, located on the Giza Plateau just outside Cairo.
You will be transferred to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the newest and largest museum dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization, which houses the collection owned by the boy king Tutankhamen.
Your journey continues with a tour of Coptic Cairo, where you'll visit the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church, elevated above the fort’s two towers. Also on the itinerary are the Church of Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest synagogues in Egypt.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a high-quality Egyptian restaurant before continuing your exploration of Islamic Cairo. Here, you'll visit some of the most renowned mosques from the Islamic period and shop at the bustling Khan El Khalili bazaar before returning to your hotel.
