Itinerary
A member of Cairo Top Tours will come to your hotel in either Giza or Cairo to pick you up and get the adventure started.
Relax and enjoy air-conditioning in a 4x4 vehicle as you admire the scenery on your way from Cairo to Fayoum Oasis. At the start, you’ll find Lake Qarun, Egypt’s oldest natural lake, tucked close to desert scenery. Because of all the migratory birds, it’s a wonderful place for nature enthusiasts.
Visiting Tunis Village for its famous pottery should come next. Stray through the village and talk with local artisans who will show you how beautiful ceramic items are made locally.
After that, you can go up Gabal El Medawara to take in the fantastic sights of the desert and the lakes—a great place for photos. It is also recommended to stop at Wadi El Hitan Eco Lodge after that.
You will next go to the Wadi El Hitan Visitor Centre and learn about prehistoric sea creatures that used to be in the place. Valley of the Whales is renowned for its ancient whale fossils, which you can see in their displays and often find along the marked trails.
Have a typical Egyptian meal while drinking Bedouin tea in the open air. You’ll be given a relaxing ride back to your hotel in Cairo following the tour.
