On the fourth day you will visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Philae Temple. After breakfast, enjoy a trip to Philae Island. Philae Island held great importance for the ancient Egyptians due to its strategic location, forming a natural geographical boundary with Aswan Island and known in Egyptian texts as the dividing line.

The unfinished obelisk was discovered in the early twentieth century after it had been covered by sand for thousands of years in one of Aswan’s quarries, which is famous for its hardness and high quality.

The High Dam represents the epic of a people who surpassed themselves through a strong will that was able to build the greatest dam of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, protecting Egypt from periods of low floods and droughts and storing behind it the largest artificial lake.
