After we've explored, we'll travel in the other direction of the Portuguese border before arriving in Porto. This historic town, hidden along the gorgeous Douro River estuary in northern Portugal, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, start the day with a guided tour of Porto. Get yourself in the rich history of the city by visiting some of its most famous landmarks, including the Santa Clara Church, the Stock Exchange Building, and the Cathedral. after the tour, take an interesting Douro River Cruise and discover the famous Port Wine Cellars through a delightful wine tasting. Then You will have the rest of the day to yourself, so you can spend it however you like participating in whatever activities you like.

We left for Coimbra, which is recognized as the origin of Fado music and is known for its ancient university, after breakfast. We spent our leisure time exploring this ancient city before moving on to the holy Christian pilgrimage site of Fatima. Here, we traveled to the Basilica and the location of the visions of the Virgin Mary, Cova da Iria. The three shepherds' graves—Lucia, the city of San Francisco, and Jacinta—are located in the Chapel of the Visions, which we discovered inside the sanctuary. We were able to participate in the candlelight processions as night fell. The hotel was our place to stay for the night.

After breakfast, we set out for Coimbra, one of Europe's greatest academic centers, through to one of the oldest universities on the European continent and the origins of Fado music. After that, we had some free time to explore before moving on to Fatima, a revered pilgrimage site and an important Christian destination.
