Viaje de 8 días de Petra a El Cairo

First, we will have breakfast at the hotel. Then, we will go to a town called Madaba. In Madaba, there is a special church called St. George's church that has an old map made out of small tiles. This map shows what the land of Palestine looked like a long time ago. After that, we will go to a mountain called Mt. Nebo. This is a special place because it is where Prophet Moses looked at the land that was promised to his people before he passed away. Some people believe that he was buried there too.

You go to an old place where monks used to live. From there, you can see lots of amazing things like a big valley, a sea that is so salty that nothing can live in it, and some important places in a special area. Then, we drive to the lowest place on the whole planet, called the Dead Sea, where you can have fun and float on the water. At night, we stay at a hotel in Amman.

Today, during your trip to Jordan and Egypt, we will be going to a special place, Petra. It is a city that was built a long time ago by the Nabataean Arabs. They used to travel around, but then they decided to stay in this area and build a big city. It is very famous, and lots of people visit it because Petra is known for its buildings made out of rock, but one building in particular is very interesting because no one knows what it was used for. People have tried to figure it out, but it's still a mystery. We will drive for about 2 and a half hours to get there.

Walk through the canyon called the Siq to see the beautiful Treasury monument. Then walk along the Street of Facades to see the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. After that, drive back to Amman to sleep for the night.

After eating breakfast, we will go to the airport and take a flight to Cairo. When we arrive in Cairo, our tour leader will be there to help you and we will go to our hotel. We will spend the night in Cairo.

After eating breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, you will meet the tour guide who will show you around the Giza Plateau to see the big pyramids and the Sphinx. You will also have lunch during the tour. After that, you will go to Sakkara where the Step Pyramid of Djoser is the very first pyramid in Egypt. It was built a long time ago and it looks different from the pyramids we usually see. It's like a big staircase made of stones. People later built pyramids that look more like the ones we know, and you can see how they changed by looking at the Bent Pyramid of Dahshur. Then you will stay overnight in Cairo.

Today, during your trip to Jordan and Egypt, you will start the day by having breakfast at the hotel. Then, a special guide will take you to see interesting things at the Egyptian Museum. During the day, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you will visit a special church called the Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo. It is a peaceful and quiet area with a lot of history. Scientists have found evidence of people living there since a very long time ago. If there is enough time, you will also go to a very old market called Khan El Khalili. Finally, you will go back to the hotel to sleep.

Today, you can choose to have a day off in Cairo or go on a special tour to another city in Egypt called Alexandria. Alexandria is a big city in Egypt that is next to the sea and has a lot of factories. It is on the Mediterranean Sea and not too far from the Nile River. It is about 114 miles away from the capital city, Cairo.  you can see an old and important building called Qaitbay Citadel, which was built a long time ago to protect the city. It's where a famous lighthouse used to be. After that, you can go to the Alexandria Library. You can also visit a special cemetery that was built by the Romans a long time ago. Then, you will go back to your hotel in Cairo.

After breakfast, your tour leader will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
