After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your knowledgeable tour guide to begin your Egypt Easter tour.

Explore the Hanging Church, also known as the Church of the Virgin Mary, which was built on top of a Roman fortress wall dating back to the 4th century BC. 

Discover the church of St. Sergius, believed to have provided shelter for the Holy Family during their escape from King Herod and the Roman soldiers. Finally, visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a sacred place for Jews, and hear the story of how the box of Baby Moses was found in this location.

Next, delve into the vibrant atmosphere of Islamic Cairo. Explore the famous Khan El Khalili market, where you can find a wide array of Egyptian souvenirs and traditional crafts. Take a break and enjoy a cup of tea at El Fishawy Cafe, a popular spot in the heart of the El-Hussein area.

Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Built between 1960 and 1971 by the second president of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, the High Dam has had a significant impact on Egypt. It increased the country's production of electric power, controlled floods, and allowed for the storage of water for later use. Learn about the engineering marvel of this dam and its importance to Egypt's development.

Next, you will visit the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Originally located on Philae Island, the temple had to be relocated to Agilika Island due to the construction of the High Dam. Marvel at the beautiful architecture and intricate carvings that depict ancient Egyptian mythology and religious beliefs.

Continue your tour with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk. This massive obelisk was carved out of solid rock during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. Although it remains unfinished, it provides insight into the ancient Egyptian process of obelisk construction. Today, it is located in the granite quarries near Aswan, exactly where it was semi-carved.
