During check-in, your revised itinerary for your 8 days Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, and Aswan Christmas Tour will be given to you, with all final options, including any additional Cairo or other location trips that may have been selected.

Enjoy the ultimate breakfast served at the hotel before an exciting day of sightseeing in Cairo. Your expert guide proficient in English will meet you in the lobby and lead you to the Giza Necropolis for an extensive exploration of the magnificent Giza Pyramids, an enduring tribute to Egypt dating back 4500 years to the Old Kingdom of the Fourth Dynasty.

Take in the holiest site, the Great Pyramid of Cheops, towering at 146 metres and built with over 2.3 million limestone blocks, an extraordinary engineering marvel, from a panoramic viewpoint. From here, you may capture the harmony between the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, with an optional camel ride available for closer views and memorable photos.

Then head to the Pyramid Complex of King Chephren, where the Valley Temple is located, followed by a visit to the Great Sphinx, the ancient guardian of the necropolis.

Proceed to Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses an extensive collection of Pharaonic artifacts. Highlights include the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun and the burial goods of Yuya and Tuya.

After a quality lunch at a restaurant, continue to Old Cairo for a Coptic Cairo tour. You will visit the Hanging Church, known for its ancient icons and rich Christian heritage, the Church of Abu Serga, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

The bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar offers a perfect way to conclude your day, with its lively market stalls, historic alleyways, and authentic Egyptian atmosphere. You may also stroll along the nearby Al-Moez Street and enjoy a cup of traditional mint tea at El Fishawy Café.

Return to your hotel in the evening to prepare for your journey to Alexandria the next day.

After having breakfast, you will meet your English-Egyptologist guide to start your day trip from Cairo to Alexandria as part of your Christmas tour in Egypt. Travel in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan, with an estimated morning-long drive including one 15-minute rest stop.

Your tour in the “Bride of the Mediterranean,” founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C., will start at Pompey's Pillar, built in 297 A.D. to commemorate the victory of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.

Next will be the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, considered one of the largest Roman burial sites in Egypt and discovered at the beginning of the 20th century. Along the beautiful coast, you will then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, located on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse and offering magnificent views over the Eastern Harbour.

Another modern highlight of the tour is the New Library of Alexandria, inspired by the ancient Library of Alexandria, once the greatest center of knowledge in the ancient world.

Before returning, enjoy a delicious seafood meal at a high-class restaurant overlooking the harbor. Your journey back to Cairo will be comfortable.

You will be transferred to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, your tour guide will meet you for transfer to the 5-star Nile cruise boat in time for lunch. The visit to Aswan begins with a tour of the Aswan High Dam, a colossal project completed in the 1960s as a great barrier to the flooding of the Nile in Egypt. Next, explore the Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis on an island in the Nile. Then proceed to visit the granite quarries where ancient pharaohs obtained stone blocks used in building temples and monuments. Return to your Nile cruise which will sail toward Kom Ombo, featuring onboard entertainment including a Nubian folkloric show, dinner, and overnight on the boat.

Enjoy breakfast before leaving to meet the guide for an exciting excursion to the amazing Kom Ombo Temple of Sobek and Horus. The twin temples are dedicated to two gods: Horus the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god. Sobek, revered by the ancient Egyptians, was known for strength and protective power and became associated with creation myths and the fertility of the Nile.

Later that day, the boat continues to sail along the Nile and moors at Edfu to visit the temple dedicated to Horus, one of the most impressive and well-preserved temples in Egypt. After lunch and dinner are served, you can relax on the upper deck, enjoying the sunshine and watching the beauty of the Nile. Overnight in Edfu on the cruise ship.

Have breakfast while cruising on the Nile and then visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu with your Egyptologist guide. This impressive temple showcases fine Ptolemaic architecture and is dedicated to Horus, the god who symbolizes protection and the sky, often depicted with a falcon head. After your temple tour, return to the cruise and continue sailing toward Luxor, the final destination of your Nile cruise. Lunch will be served on board, allowing you to relax and enjoy a cup of tea while admiring the splendid views of the Nile River.

Enjoy a delicious dinner on the cruise and partake in the evening’s traditional entertainment.

On the final day of your Egypt tour, enjoy breakfast on the Nile cruise before starting your day tours in Luxor. Begin on the Western Bank with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, the burial site for pharaohs of the 18th to 20th dynasties, and take a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of King Amenhotep III. Nearby is the elegant mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known as El Deir El Bahari.

Next, visit the Karnak Temple complex, one of the most important religious sites in ancient Egypt, followed by Luxor Temple. The Avenue of Sphinxes connects Karnak and Luxor, forming a grand pathway between these monuments.

After your tours, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, your pickup will assist with hotel check-in for an overnight stay.
