Jordan is blessed with a remarkable range of different natural areas. This valley is one of the most beautiful areas in Jordan. It has very abundant and warm mineral waters. There are high waterfalls that some tourists come to climb and enjoy this sport.
One of the most important of these sites is the Wadi Bin Hammad area, which is located to the west of the town of Rakin in Karak Governorate, about four kilometers away. It is about twenty kilometers from the city of Karak.
This valley is one of the most beautiful areas in Jordan. It has very abundant and warm mineral waters. There are high waterfalls that some tourists come to climb and enjoy this sport. Some youth groups also come to this valley on foot from the southern Jordan Valley to enjoy walking and climbing at the same time. Visitors to this valley enjoy the picturesque natural scenery and there are a number of farms.
Unfortunately, this valley is neglected and does not have any services. Several years ago, the Ministry of Tourism built two swimming pools so that visitors to this valley could enjoy the hot mineral waters, but these two pools are exposed and neglected.
Wadi Bin Hammad area has gained geographical and historical importance throughout the ages as it is one of the most famous water valleys in the region. Its importance goes back to the name that goes back to the tribes that inhabited it in the past known as "Al-Hamadia". In addition to being one of the natural wonders on earth, it is a natural outlet and a health resort for those seeking treatment from the people of the region and outside it, due to the availability of hot mineral water from between the rocks and from the depths of the earth to form a view that inspires amazement and astonishment due to the uniqueness of the water and the magic of the beauty of the region.
The abundance of water springs in the region added beauty and charm, and their number exceeds 20 springs, including Ain Al-Maghseel, Al-Fawwar, Al-Far’a, Jabaiba, Ain Jannah, Ain Adhba, Sinan, and Al-Safsafa, in addition to waterfalls, the most famous of which is the “Hora” waterfall.
The density of palm trees amidst the pink rocks, grape and olive groves, and wild plants has made the area and its surroundings one of the most prominent and important tourist attractions on the Jordanian tourist map, despite the neglect, oblivion, and disregard for the beauty of the area and its importance in attracting tourists to be a destination for all visitors from different regions of the Kingdom.
Al-Habashneh reviewed the therapeutic and touristic nature of the mineral water springs in the region, including the "Suleiman Abu Darbiyah" bath and the "Suleiman bin Daoud" bath, which is considered one of the most important due to the abundance and quality of its water, the density of visitors to it, and the popular rituals that were practiced around it to seek blessings from it, pointing out the presence of the shrine of our master Suleiman bin Daoud in the Sarfa area on the northern side of the valley, which adds an important aspect of religious tourism.
