Memphis served as the capital of ancient Egypt for over 3,000 years during the Old Kingdom period. It was founded around 3100 BCE by King Menes and remained a significant political and cultural center throughout ancient Egyptian history. As the capital, Memphis was the seat of pharaohs and the administrative hub of the kingdom, making it a focal point of power and influence.

During the tour, you will visit the ancient city of Memphis, which was the capital of ancient Egypt, and explore its archaeological sites, including the colossal statue of Ramses II. You will then proceed to the Dahshur necropolis, where you can marvel at the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. Finally, you will enjoy a relaxing Felucca boat ride on the Nile River, taking in the beautiful views and the serene atmosphere.

Given that Dahshur is the location of some of Egypt's oldest and best-preserved pyramids, the city has a special place in Egyptian history. Around 2600–2500 BCE, during the Old Kingdom era of ancient Egypt, the pyramids of Dahshur were constructed. They shed light on the development of pyramid architecture by representing experimental and advanced architectural design in pyramid building.

You can wear whatever you like, but consider the time of day you are sightseeing, as you should cover up with light clothing when sightseeing during the daytime because it gets very hot and sunny. Also, you should wear flat-soled sneakers as high heels are not recommended.

For over 3000 years, Memphis was a very important city in ancient Egypt. People there worshiped a god named Ptah and it was where the Pharaohs became kings.
 

The building is made of strong rock pieces stacked on top of each other and covered with a smooth layer of the same rock. Inside, you can reach the place where the person is buried by walking down a hallway with an entrance in the middle of one side of the building.
