Hurghada found on the western side of Egypt's Red Sea Riviera is a beach town resort stretching some 40km along Egypt's Red Sea coast. It is the second biggest town on the Red Sea, renowned for scuba diving, thanks to its beautiful coral reefs.

The Abu Galum Protectorate is a narrow coastal plain with high coastal mountains, and the area plays a significant role in regulating land use. The many channels are home to more than 165 plant species, including the medicinal plant Batheran, used to treat abdominal colic.

The 'Blue Hole', as it is known, is located in a Bedouin village near Dahab. Formed due to the erosion of limestone rock, it has a depth of up to 130 metres and is connected to the open sea. Jabal shayb al-banat is one of the Red Sea Mountains in the eastern desert in Egypt, located to the west of the city of Hurghada at a latitude of 27 degrees north and a longitude of 33.5 degrees east of the Greenwich line approximately, this mountain is the highest mountain peak in the eastern desert with a height of up to 2185 meters, it is a prominent mass of igneous rocks
