Following your pickup, our trip will include a visit to the Nubian Museum. The Nubian Museum in Aswan was built on an area of 50,000 square meters, part of which includes the museum garden, a conference hall, and an open-air theater, in addition to a large exhibition hall housing the museum's collections and contents, covering an area of 7,000 square meters. Discover this museum for yourself with us.
Next, we move to the Kalabsha Temple. The Kalabsha Temple was moved here on May 13, 1964, because of the High Dam's construction. The temple was situated in Kalabsha, a tiny town of the same name... It was crucial to relocate the temple higher up the mountain since the High Dam's construction threatened to bury the community and temple beneath the Nile's waters. The temple was moved by the West German government as part of UNESCO's effort to preserve Nubia's antiquities. Nobody thought the move would be that stunning. Find out more about the history of the temple and how our assistance helped to rescue it.
