From Cairo, we set off for Fayoum. There are three traffic lanes, or sometimes two lanes in each directions, on the roughly 103-kilometer route leading to Fayoum City. When you go to Fayoum, the breeze and air will let you know that the area's temperate temperature has made it a safe haven for birds.
We will begin our visit at the Lahun Pyramid, one of Egypt's pyramids.
The pyramid was built of mud bricks on a natural rocky promontory, then covered with limestone, which has since eroded.
Next, we move to the Lahun Pyramid. The Hawara Pyramid is an important archeological site in the Fayoum Governorate. The pyramid's original dimensions were 105 meters long on each side and 58 meters high. The burial chamber is the last of the pyramid's many passageways and rooms. Inside, a massive stone casket weighing 110 tons and composed of a single piece of quartzite was discovered.
In the Kom Oshim Museum, 312 objects from antiquity to the Islamic era are arranged chronologically. The display scenario of the museum comprises the religious beliefs upheld by the people of the Fayoum Governorate since ancient times, the customs and traditions of the people inhabiting the area, and the uniqueness of Fayoum City with respect to its industries and crafts from antiquity until present days.
Ultimately, you will be taken to Cairo following lunch.
