Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Cairo, our guide will meet you holding your name tag and transfer you by van to your hotel for an easy check-in. You will review your itinerary and confirm pickup times for the next day’s visits to the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum.

Overnight stay at your Cairo hotel.

Departing in the morning to meet your tour guide, you will spend your first day of the seven-day Egypt tour exploring the magnificent Pyramids of Giza. The itinerary includes visits to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Chephren, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Sphinx, which guards the Giza Plateau. You will also visit the Valley Temple of Chephren, where several pharaohs were mummified.

After completing the Pyramids tour, continue to the Egyptian Museum, the first archaeological museum in the Middle East, which houses over 170,000 artifacts, including the famous treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb.

You will then be driven back to your hotel for the overnight stay.

After enjoying your breakfast, begin your 7-day Cairo and Upper Egypt tour by transferring to Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, your tour guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, visit the temples on the East Bank of the Nile.

Explore Luxor Temple, magnificently built by Pharaohs Ramses II and Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom. Then proceed to Karnak Temple, once connected to Luxor Temple and dedicated to the Theban triad (Amun, Mut, Khonsu). Enjoy a delicious lunch at a refined local restaurant in Luxor before returning to your hotel for the overnight stay.

In the morning, you would pick up your 7-day Cairo and Upper Egypt Tour by a tour to the western bank of Luxor. You would kick-off with a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings, the main attraction of so many tombs in Luxor, housing an extensive collection of burial chambers and archaeological treasures.

On the other hand, visit the cradle of the glorious Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as El-Deir el-Bahari. The greatest of these temples was designed by her chief architect to honor his legacy.

Having your lunch at a delicious local restaurant is your next stop. Wondrous Colossi of Memnon, the giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, are on the horizon.

Optional: The only way to view the west bank is taking a marvelous hot air balloon over Luxor.

In the morning, check out from your Luxor hotel and travel to Edfu Temple, where you’ll explore the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, dedicated to Horus, the god with a hawk’s head.

Then, continue your 7-day holiday in Egypt with a visit to Kom Ombo Temple, the only double temple in ancient Egypt dedicated to the gods Sobek, the crocodile god and Haroeris. Learn of the fascinating mythology and history of these sacred figures.

Upon completing temple visits, enjoy a delicious lunch before you are transferred back to your hotel, where you can relax and settle in for the evening.

On day six of your 7-day trip to Cairo and Upper Egypt, you will engage with Aswan, exploring much of the city's attractions. Start with a tour to the High Dam, a build which is of utmost importance for saving Egypt from flooding, supporting agriculture irrigation, and regulating its hydroelectric power-station.

After that, head to the Temple of Philae, a sanctuary dedicated to Isis, and then stop at the Unfinished Obelisk, an unfinished large granite monument whereby the ascent was planned to be erected into an enormous building, but for some reason it was not completed.

On the final day of your 7-day Cairo and Upper Egypt holiday you'll visit the magnificent Temples of Abu Simbel. They were carved into the mountains by King Ramses II of the 19th dynasty. One is known as the Temple of Ramses II, the other as the Temple of his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. Gaze at them in awe.
