On your first day, you will be picked up from Alexandria Port by a representative to be transferred to Cairo International Airport to catch your domestic flight to Luxor.

The Valley of the Kings is a royal burial ground for pharaohs and high priests. From the tomb evidence, it appears that people were promised a life in the afterlife if they were good in this world.

The two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III were made from blocks of quartzite sandstone that came from the north of Luxor.

The Mortuary Hatshepsut Temple was one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt. It consisted of three terraces and a garden. It took fifteen years to be constructed. 

Lunch will be served on an island, so your tour includes boat trips on the Nile River.

Then, you will check into a five-star hotel for the night.

Following breakfast, head for Karnak Temple, one of Egypt's greatest temple complexes. Travel through its magnificent halls, columns, obelisks and ancient sanctuaries and hear its story from your Egyptologist guide.

Follow to Luxor Temple, which is on the east bank of the Nile. Visit its impressive entrance, statues, columns and ancient inscriptions. The temple was dedicated to the restoration of kingship, and was linked to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes.

Following the tour, you'll have some free time for lunch before heading back to Cairo by flight to Luxor International Airport. Meet your private driver on arrival and head down by road to Alexandria port for your cruise.
