Daily Details for Travel Tour and Activities

Following breakfast, After leaving Beirut, you drive through the picturesque Beka'a Valley to the historic town of Baalbek. The historical location of Baalbek is assumed to have been Phoenician, with settlements reaching back to the third millennium BC. In the first millennium BC, the location was chosen for a temple devoted to the God Baal, from which the city derives its name.
Later, in 334 BC, Alexander the Great conquered this territory and called the city Heliopolis, a name that has been adopted by succeeding Roman kings - Helios, Greek for sun, and Polis, Greek for City - 'City of the Sun'. Today, the town is known for its finely detailed Roman remains, which draw many visitors.

After breakfast, you'll journey to Beiteddine via Ksara and Anjar. Your first destination for today is Ksara, which is located in the Beka'a Valley. Ksara is famed for its wine production, and you will get the opportunity to sample some of the local wines while you are here.
Following that, you proceed to Anjar's webpage. Caliph Walid I created the city of Anjar around the beginning of the eighth century. The city's ruins showed a remarkably regular pattern, which is typical of ancient palace-cities. Excavations have already discovered hundreds of stores, baths, and souks. Today's final travel brings you to Beitiddine to view the Palace, a small museum, and a mosaic display.

After breakfast, you will travel north to the ancient town of Byblos, passing through the coastal city of Saida or Sidon and the majestic Crusader stronghold of Qalaat Al-Bahr, also known as the Sea stronghold, which was erected by the Crusaders in 1228 AD. Today, the castle comprises of two major towers joined by a wall.
Unfortunately, many of the ornaments that previously adorned the walls are no longer there, since the Mamluks attempted to destroy all of the Sea Castles in order to prevent the Crusaders from recovering footholds on the shore. You arrive at Byblos later in the afternoon, and you'll have some free time to explore the souks.

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Beirut Airport for your flight to Cairo. When you arrive at the airport, our staff will meet you, assist you with obtaining your visa and baggage, and then transport you to your hotel to begin your vacation. They will help you settle in, introduce you to the local area, and discuss tomorrow's activities.

The tour begins with an open-buffet breakfast at a hotel in Cairo. The guide takes you to the Giza Pyramids area, where you can visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Chephren and Mycerinus pyramids, and the majestic Sphinx of Giza. The tour also includes a camel ride at the Giza Pyramids and the Valley Temple.
Your driver and Egyptologist guide will take you to the Egyptian Museum, which houses over 6000-year-old antiquities and masterpieces. The museum showcases 160,000 gold, silver, and stone blocks of royal sarcophagi, statues, royal mummies, and the funerary collection of Yuya and Tuya, the great grandparents of King Tutankhamen.
After lunch, you'll continue your Tour to Islamic Cairo, where you'll observe the walls and gates of Cairo and get a glimpse of the local Cairene people. You can enjoy mint tea or mango juice at El Fishawy cafe in Khan El Khalili Grand Bazaar.
After the tour, you'll be transferred to a hotel overnight.
