Wonderful 5-Days Nile Cruise Tour From Luxor

After a succulent breakfast aboard the MS Royal Viking Nile Cruise, guests will meet their stint leader to begin the Luxor West Bank Tour. The primary focus of the stint will be the magnificent gemstone-cut sepultures of the New Kingdom oppressors, known as the Valley of the Lords. After the previous two days of Luxor sightseeing tours, the daily itinerary continues with the following: Participants will enjoy a tasty breakfast aboard the Nile Cruise, followed by an accompanied tour with an expert guide to Edfu, one of the most interesting destinations in Egypt. The highlight of this excursion will be a visit to the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered one of the largest and best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples, second only to the Karnak Temple.

Following the Edfu tour, the participants will return to the cruise ship and enjoy an enchanting sailing experience towards the town of Kom Ombo. During the journey, an unusual and delightful lunch meal will be served on board the ship.

Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, the group will be accompanied to the amazing Kom Ombo Temple, which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. This temple was constructed between 1350 and 180 B.C., under the orders of King Ramses II.

After the Kom Ombo and Edfu tours, the cruise ship will continue its journey towards Aswan. During the evening, participants will enjoy a delightful dinner aboard the cruise, accompanied by local music and entertainment. The day will conclude with an overnight stay in the beautiful city of Aswan.

The daily itinerary for the Nile cruise begins with breakfast served on board the Egypt Nile cruise ship. Participants will then meet with the private tour guide to commence the Aswan Excursions.

The Aswan Excursions include a visit to the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that has protected Egypt from the devastating Nile floods that previously inundated the country for extended periods, allowing for more efficient water management. Aswan, the southernmost city in Egypt, is situated near the first Nile cataract, approximately 1,000 kilometers from Cairo.

The tour will also explore the Unfinished Obelisk Site, which features the granite quarries where ancient Egyptians extracted and transported granite used in the construction of the great pyramids during the Old Kingdom, as well as for the building of temples, pillars, and obelisks, particularly during the New Kingdom.

Participants will then tour the Philae Temple, a Greco-Roman-style temple dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis and one of the significant locations associated with the legend of Isis, Osiris, and Horus.

After the Aswan excursions, the participants will return to the cruise ship and enjoy a lunch meal. They will then spend the afternoon at leisure in Aswan. In the evening, a high-quality dinner will be served on board the cruise boat, accompanied by an interesting Nubian cultural performance. The day will conclude with an overnight stay on the cruise ship in Aswan.

After enjoying the last breakfast on board the Luxor-Aswan cruise ship, participants will check out and be transferred to their requested drop-off location in Aswan, such as the railway station or Aswan Airport.

The Abu Simbel temples, which were relocated to their current position due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam, are considered one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Egypt.
