You will spend the night in Cairo.
After having breakfast, your friendly tour guide who speaks English will take you to see the Giza Pyramids. These are very old and special pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of King Cheops and the Middle Pyramid of his son Chephren. These pyramids are considered wonders of the world because they have been standing for a very long time. You'll also see the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of King Chephren.
Next, you'll visit the Egyptian Museum, a big and impressive building. Inside, you'll find the largest collection of ancient Egyptian things in the whole world. One special treasure you'll see is the one that was found in the tomb of the young King Tutankhamun.
Finally, you'll be driven back to your hotel where you'll stay for the night.
Get ready for an amazing Sinai Hiking Tour! Our friendly guide will meet you at your place in Cairo. We'll then travel for about 5 hours to reach the eco-lodge el karm Bedouin camp in Sinai. After some rest in the morning, we'll start our hiking adventure. Don't forget to pack your bags before we begin.
Our first destination is Wadi Al Fara. It's a bit challenging as we'll climb up a mountain and come down quickly. If you prefer, there's an off-road drive of 3 kilometers available.
Next, we'll visit the Red Sea mountain range, also known as Jabal Shayeb Al Banat. This mountain is made of big volcanic rock pieces, and it has deep gorges on its slopes. There are lots of fun things to do there like camping, hiking, and rock climbing. After that, we'll take you on a tour of Wadi el Nogra.
At the end of the day, we'll return to your eco-camp el karm. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
After enjoying Bedouin tea and getting ready for breakfast at the camp, we'll take you to a place called Wadi Tala. Instead of going back to St. Catherine monastery, we'll choose a different path. This path goes through Wadi Itlah, and you can enter it through a small opening in a stone wall. From there, you'll be able to see thin water curtains that come down from the rocks after it rains. It looks really cool and leaves a V-shaped mark on the rock.
Next, we'll visit a Bedouin town and a sheik's tomb that are in this area, surrounded by tall mountains in Sinai. It's a popular spot for hiking because there are different paths that connect St. Katherine and this place, and you get to see lots of beautiful mountain views.
Finally, we'll bring you back to your camp, where you can relax and have lunch. It's going to be a great day!
After a hearty breakfast at the camp, we'll begin our journey back to Cairo, the bustling capital city of Egypt. As we drive, you can enjoy the changing landscapes of the Sinai region, with its rugged mountains and desert vistas slowly transforming into the urban scenery of Cairo.
Following breakfast, your guide will escort you to the Citadel of Salah El-Din, where you can marvel at the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, a prominent landmark in Islamic Cairo.
For lunch, select from a range of mouthwatering Egyptian dishes, then embark on a half-day church tour in Ancient Cairo. Here, you'll learn about the historical Roman fortifications of Babylon. A highlight of this tour is The Hanging Church. Additionally, you will visit the St. Sergius Church, built over the crypt where Jesus Christ, His mother, and St. Joseph the Carpenter are said to have spent around three months. The final stop is the Ben Ezra Synagogue, originally a Coptic church, which was converted into a synagogue in the ninth century.
The day continues with trips to the Islamic district of Cairo. Here, you'll explore old fortifications and mosques, such as the Al-Hakim Mosque. The city's ancient stone-paved streets, medieval madrasas, caravanserais, and city gates all hark back to the Islamic era. Round off your exploration of Islamic Cairo at Khan El Khalili, Egypt's oldest souk, with a view of the minarets of Al Hussein Mosque and Al Azhar Mosque. Relax with a mint tea at Fishawy, one of Cairo's oldest and most famous traditional coffee shops.
Finally, your guide will escort you back to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
