After having a pleasant breakfast on board, Your Egypt Day Tours continues to Wadi El Sebou, another archaeological site with some fabulous temples constructed by Ramses II himself. This was one area that was moved in order not to be flooded due to Lake Nasser. The reliefs show the great victories of the Pharaohs along with homage to the gods. The temples signify ancient and modern marvels of engineering.

You will also be taken to the Amada Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Nubia, built by Thutmose III, dedicated to the god Amon Ra. One can still see some of the many well-preserved examples of artwork and inscriptions on the walls with their relation to religious rituals and worship practices of ancient Egyptians. It is a cultic centre, representative of spiritual life at that time, and it points to the skill of the craftsmen of the time, particularly the Nubian people in the times of Thutmose III and Ramses II.

Upon arrival, the boat will provide a delicious breakfast as it sails to Qasr Ibrim-the most important historical site in Nubia, where the tombs of Nubian royalty used to lie. It is currently closed to visitors, but the cultural and strategic relevance of this site can be sensed even from the ship.

You shall then head to the mighty Abu Simbel temples, the creation of Ramses II in testimony of his power and proximity to divinity. These temples were miraculously moved in the 1960s to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, an engineering accomplishment.

Not only are these temples impressive in their dimensions and structure, but they show a lot about Ramses II's religious beliefs. the main temple aligned with the sun on his birthday and coronation.
