Early in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will have a 2-hour private tour of the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Sphinx and the famous Pyramids of Giza, before the site is opened to the general public. This exclusive access to the plateau is made possible by a special permission issued to Inside Egypt by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
Our first destination will be the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only remaining example of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The guards will open exclusively for us the Queen's Chamber and the Subterranean Chamber, which are frequently beyond bounds to the general public. Our next trip will be to the Great Sphinx, where we will this time go inside its prison for another special experience.
After enjoying our visit to the Pyramids of Giza, have a delicious lunch. Then, we will go to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization, Ancient Egypt. It’s located near the Giza Pyramids on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road in Giza. There are more than 250,000 genuine artefacts on show in addition to an exhibition of Tutankhamun's riches, gold, and jewellery collection, all of which were kept in his tomb for more than 3,500 years.
After which, we'll take you to your hotel for the night.
