Historical and religious importance:
Essentially, it used to be home to about fifty different monasteries, but only four of them have survived the time and erosion elements.
Monks used to stay in those 4 remaining monasteries at the beginning of Christianity in Egypt, that we will visit: are Deir Anba Bishoi (monastery of St Bishoi), whose body is still in the monastery, Deir El-Baramus (monastery of Barmus), Deir Abu Maqar (Monastery of St. Macarius ), and Deir El-Suryani (Monastery of Al-Suryan).
After the day tour to the monasteries of Wadi El Natrun, you will enjoy your lunch then you will be taken back to your hotel in Cairo.
