3 Day Tour to the Monasteries of Sinai from Cairo

In the early morning and after having breakfast at the camp, we will start visiting the 2 monasteries in Sinai, surrounded by rugged mountains and beautiful nature, the Monastery of Saint Catherine, and see the Burning Bush where God spoke to Prophet Moses and received the commandments of God during the famous Biblical Exodus.

We will also visit the Monastery of Cosmas and Damianos, originally from Arabia, were brothers. According to some sources, not considered historically reliable, they were twins. Born in the second half of the third century to Christian parents. Their mother, named Theodotus (according to others, Theodora), had to take charge of giving them the first education in the faith, since their father died early, during the persecution in Cilicia.

We will be back to the camp afterward, then spend the night at leisure, dinner, and overnight.

After having breakfast at the camp, in the early morning, we will visit the Monastery of the 40 Martyrs, known also by the name Monastery of Deir Al-Arbain as it is pronounced in the Arabic language, built during the sixth century to commemorate the memory of the 40 martyrs who sacrificed their souls to defend Christianity after the pagan Licinius ruled the eastern half of the Roman Empire at the beginning of the 4th century and his intention was to eliminate Christianity.

We will learn historical and religious facts during the visit and then we will get back to Cairo by private vehicle after our 3 Day Tour to the Monasteries of Sinai from Cairo is done.
