Discover our Egypt Luxury Christmas Tours Packages

Most journeys during all of our Egypt tours start in Cairo, and honestly, why wouldn't they? You're standing in front of the Giza Pyramids within your first day or two, staring at the Sphinx, wandering through the Grand Egyptian Museum. Which by the way has pretty much taken over as the city's headline attraction since it opened. But Cairo isn't just pyramids. Old Cairo has this layered, quiet charm to it. The Hanging Church, the Citadel of Saladin up on its hill, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, the chaos (the good kind) of Khan El Khalili Bazaar, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization — together they give you both the ancient and the everyday, side by side.

Luxury Nile Cruise Christmas Holidays Egypt

Heading south to explore Luxor and Aswan changes the pace of your trip. A private luxury Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan is the easiest way to see Upper Egypt. There is no rushing around or stress about travel details. Just beautiful views, famous historic temples, and time to truly enjoy it all.

Luxor is called the world's largest open air museum for good reason. There you can discover Karnak Temple. Located on the east bank of Thebes (modern Luxor). Karnak Temple alone could eat up half a day if you let it. Then there's Luxor Temple located on the east bank of the Nile River in Luxor (ancient Thebes), built around 1400 BCE. On the west bank of Luxor, you will discover these temples: the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple carved into the cliffs, the Colossi of Memnon, Medinet Habu, the Ramesseum, and the Valley of the Queens. And if you can drag yourself out of bed before sunrise. Do the hot air balloon ride. Floating over the temples and the Nile Valley as the light comes up is one of those things photos never quite capture.

Sail on towards Esna, then Aswan. It's quieter, greener in places, more relaxing. The wonderful Philae Temple located on Agilkia Island, also the Unfinished Obelisk gives you a strange glimpse into how these things were actually carved, and there is the High Dam, Elephantine Island, and the Nubian villages with their painted houses. A felucca sail at sunset here is worth building an afternoon around. And no trip south is complete without Abu Simbel — it requires an early start to reach, the sight of King Ramses II’s colossal statues towering over the desert landscape.

A Luxury Hurghada Christmas Vacation

After Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, a lot of our travelers want to just... exhale or relax on the beach for a bit. That's where Hurghada comes in. The Red Sea here is startlingly clear, and the beachfront resorts do relaxation properly — diving, snorkeling, private yacht trips, good food, spa days, and long stretches of sand where you genuinely don't have to be anywhere at a certain time.

Luxury White Desert Desert Safari Christmas tours

For those chasing something a little more otherworldly, the Western Desert is hard to beat. The White Desert looks almost fake at sunrise and sunset, with these enormous chalk-white rock formations scattered across the landscape like something from another planet. Nearby, Bahariya Oasis has hot springs, palm groves, and access to the Black Desert — a proper safari feel without needing days to get there. And if you really want to disappear from the world for a while, Siwa Oasis is about as far off the beaten path as Egypt gets: salt lakes, Cleopatra's Spring, the Temple of the Oracle (yes, that oracle — the one Alexander the Great supposedly consulted), the crumbling Shali Fortress, and a handful of genuinely lovely eco-lodges.

Egypt Luxury Family Christmas Vacation

Travelling with kids changes the calculus a bit, and we plan for that. Children tend to love the pyramids more than adults. They will love camel rides, Nile Felucca trips, and interactive exhibits in Cairo's museums, which keep them engaged rather than bored. Meanwhile, parents get the peace of mind that comes with private transport, fully safe hotels, and a flexible time schedule for your programme that isn't so rigid it falls apart the moment someone needs a nap.

Egypt Honeymoon Christmas Package

For couples, December in Egypt has a quiet kind of romance to it that's hard to describe until you've experienced it. A private dinner along the Nile in Cairo. Watching the sun drop below the horizon from the deck of your cruise somewhere between Luxor and Aswan. A few slow days on the Red Sea coast in Hurghada. Or maybe disappearing into Siwa and the White Desert together, away from basically everyone. These aren't grand gestures so much as accumulated small moments, and together they tend to stick with people far longer than a typical honeymoon would.
