Egypt is a large country filled with must-see sights. It is best to join a guided multi-day tour to Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan if you want to see all of the highlights, including the Valley of the Kings, the Giza Pyramids, and the magnificent High Dam, which was started in 1960 and completed in 1971, forming a huge reservoir called Lake Nasser comprising above one hundred and fifty-seven cubic meters of water, named after the former Egyptian President Nasser, and was filled in 1979. You would like to go see the dam during your Aswan day tours. And you can be sure that you will never regret doing that.
Since knowing what not to do is just as important as knowing what to do in a particular destination, here is the first thing to avoid when visiting Egypt: disrespecting the country's traditions. Egyptians are known for being very friendly and open to tourists, but they are also extremely conservative and traditional. Tourists should avoid immodest clothing, public displays of affection, and public drinking.
Salting the host's food, photographing public infrastructure without permission, and using drones should all be avoided.
You shouldn't worry if your guide speaks Spanish to you while you're traveling, but it might be entertaining to pick up a few Arabic words so you can converse with locals; they really enjoy it when you try to speak their language.
Furthermore, English is practically a second language in Egypt, and people directly involved in the tourism industry are multilingual, so this is not a cause for alarm.
