MS Nile Dolphin Nile Cruise Luxor to Aswan

Itinerary

At the airport or train station in Luxor, our representative will transfer you to your Nile cruise in a private air-conditioned van. In the afternoon, you will discover the east bank of Luxor, including the Karnak temple complex, which is one of the largest structures ever built in human history. The main building is that of the god Amun-Re, as it is considered the home of the god on earth; the older structure dates back to the Middle Kingdom, but there are some references to older buildings, such as the 3rd dynasty. Later, you will visit the Luxor Temple, which was built by one of the 12th Dynasty kings and completed by the famous King Ramses II.

This temple was located in the heart of ancient Thebes and, like Karnak, was dedicated to the main god Amun Re. After completing your day's tour, you will be transferred to your boat for rest and refreshment. In the evening, an Egyptian folkloric show will be organised by the staff. Dinner will be served, and you will spend the night in Luxor.

The Karnak Sound and Light Show are available if you would like to experience the beauty of this sacred place at night!

If your arrival time in Luxor is very early, we will start the tour directly upon arrival, as the cruise check-in, and we don't want our guests to waste their time waiting in the lobby for check-in.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Breakfast on your Egypt Nile River Cruise. Next, you will begin your magical tour to Thebes, the sacred land, by exploring the west bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, which is considered the royal burial ground of Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, and the place where our pharaohs were buried.

Then you will go to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This temple is considered one of the most outstanding examples of ancient Egyptian architecture, as it was carved entirely out of the mountain.

At the end of the tour, you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, which belong to King Amenhotep III. After that, you will return to your boat to have your lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After that, you will return to your ship. Lunch will be served on board while sailing to the city of Kom Ombo.

In the afternoon, you will leave to discover the temple of Kom Ombo, where the two gods Sobek and Haroeris were worshipped for some time. Return to your boat and enjoy your lunch. Take advantage of the sunny terrace to admire the unique landscape of the great Nile River. On its banks, the ancient Egyptian civilisation was created and flourished.

Dinner will be served on board during the navigation to the city of Aswan.

In the late evening, arrive in Aswan and overnight.

Then, you will sail on the Nile by motorboat to the island of Agilika, where you will visit the temple of Philae, erected during the Graeco-Roman period and dedicated to the goddess Isis (mother of the god Horus).

Finally, you will be accompanied to visit one of the most beautiful tourist attractions of Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk, which was built in red granite and was dedicated to the god Amun-Re. After finishing your tour, you will return to your boat. Lunch will be served on board. Afternoon tea will be served on board. The night is free. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Departure after breakfast. Then our representative will accompany you to the airport in Aswan to take your flight to Cairo (breakfast).
Excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel (Optional) by private coach or domestic flight: our English-speaking guide will meet you in Aswan and transfer you by private van A-C to Abu Simbel, located south of Aswan on the west bank of the Nile, 180 miles south of the First Cataract, in what was Nubia. The site was known as Meha in ancient times and was first documented in the 18th Dynasty.

You will visit the temples of Abu Simbel, which were built by the famous King Ramses II. The largest temple was called the Great Temple. It was built by Ramses II and is dedicated to the famous god Ra-Horakhty. The smaller temple was dedicated to King Ramses II himself and his beautiful wife, Queen Nefertari. After finishing your tour, you will leave for Aswan. Arrive in Aswan and transfer by private A-C van to the hotel of your choice for check-in, rest, and refreshment, or transfer to Aswan airport to catch your domestic flight to Cairo.
