A desert safari tour in Egypt is an exhilarating journey through the vast desert landscapes of the nation, including the Sahara Desert and Sinai Desert. It typically entails pursuits like camel riding, sandboarding, dune bashing, and star-gazing camping.

The best time is in the cooler months, from late autumn to early spring (October to April), when temperatures are more conducive to outdoor activities.

During a safari tour, there are many fun and exciting activities to do. Here are some common activities that can be enjoyed during a safari:

  1. Animal viewing trips: Safari tours involve viewing animals in their natural habitat, and can include vehicle attachments or quad bikes.

  2. Photography: Great opportunities to take pictures of wild animals and beautiful landscapes.

  3. Safari walking: Some tours offer opportunities for safari walks with professional guides to explore the natural environment.

  4. Camel or horseback riding: A unique experience of traveling through the desert on the backs of camels or horses.

  5. Desert camping: Experience staying in desert camps to enjoy the peaceful nights and starry skies.

  6. Desert scuba diving: Exploring water areas or natural lakes if available.

  7. Cultural experiences: Visit local communities or Bedouin villages to interact with the local culture.

  8. Touring archaeological areas: Explore archaeological and historical sites if available in the area.

The road and bus services between these two towns are mentioned in many travel guides, however visitors are not encouraged to utilize them, and the buses frequently turn away passengers. It is recommended to take a bus to Luxor and then a train to Aswan.

Oracle Temple: an old temple in Siwa Oasis, Egypt, devoted to the god Amun. Because of its historical significance and connection to Alexander the Great, it is well known.
