On your way to Cairo, you will stop-by the modern Library of Alexandria that was opened for the public in 1996 after the help of the coordination by the UNESCO for the project that will never be as great as the old Library that was founded at the beginning of the 3rd century B.C by Ptolemy I, and enlarged by his successor and son Ptolemy II.
