5 Days Nile Cruise to Luxor & Aswan from Marsa Alam

Early in the morning, take a (optional) hot air balloon ride over Luxor to get a bird's eye view of this stunning city.

An early morning wake-up call will be followed by breakfast on your Egypt Nile River Cruise before you begin your Egypt Day Tours in Luxor. On these tours, you'll visit the Luxor West Bank and learn about mummification and all of the ancient Egyptian burial rituals while viewing the final stages of the royal tombs in ancient Egypt, which were carved into the western mountain that would later become known as the Valley of the Kings by the Pharaohs of the new kingdom. Continue your Luxor excursions as your guide takes you to see the Colossi of Memnon and to learn about the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a well-known female pharaoh in ancient Egyptian history. You will eat breakfast on board the vessel at 7:00 a.m. before disembarking from your Egypt Nile River Cruise and beginning your Aswan day tours. First, you will visit the High Dam in Aswan, which is the country's largest dam but was not the country's first. Next, you will travel to the Granite Quarries to see the largest Unfinished Obelisk, which some scholars believe was never finished because it was not finished before Queen Hatshepsut passed away.
