Wadi Degla Nature It is one of the most important valleys that extend from east to west with a length of about 30 km. The valley passes through limestone rocks that were deposited in the marine environment of the Eastern Desert for more than 60 million years, so it is full of fossils whose height is about 50 meters. It is considered part of the northern plateau of limestone rocks of the Eocene era as a distinctive geographical environment in Egypt 1993. This reserve is unique because it has no equal. The Degla Valley begins as small tributaries that pour rainwater into the surrounding hills.

The natural resources in Degla Valley.
 The general view of the valley, which is rich in plant and animal life, is one of the most beautiful scenes that you can see, such as mountains and plateaus. The valley is covered with a protective cover of annual plants, and there are about 64 species of plants.  The presence of traces of fossil deer in the valley, and indicates the existence of the Nubian tetel, and there are about twenty species of reptiles, including the endangered Egyptian turtles. * There are 12 species of eastern desert birds, migratory and visiting species in winter and resident and visiting in summer. The valley is characterized by moderate weather in summer and winter, and it is one of the cheapest and closest places, and there are many activities in the reserve, which help you enjoy. 

The reserve contains.

The reserve includes a lot of animals, such as hares, live horned, rough lizards, red foxes, pharaonic owls, bats, and mouse apothecaries. But you must be careful not to be exposed to these animals so as not to get hurt. It contains many species of reptiles, 12 species of mountain birds, and the endangered Egyptian tortoise. There are many rare insects in the reserve, including Abu al-Eid, ant bed, ant lion, and parkland. The reserve consists mainly of mountain rock deposits that helped in the formation of small and large mountains; Therefore, the reserve is the best place to help you relax and clear your mind.

You can practice sports such as cycling, or jogging in the reserve, and you can adventure and discover the reserve through safari, and mountain climbing. If you love nature and meditation, you can camp in the reserve!
