When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, our tour guide will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, in a comfortable private car. There, we will help you with the entire check-in process and work with you to update your Cairo day tour schedule for the upcoming days.
After breakfast at the hotel on the second day, you will be driven by our tour guide in a private vehicle to begin your day tour of Cairo. The tour will start at the Great Pyramids area, where you can see the Great Sphinx, The Valley Temple, and the Three Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafra, and Mankawra.
Following that, we'll pause for lunch at a nearby restaurant before you and your guide are transported to Dahshour to explore the area and take in all of its monuments before continuing on to Memphis. Upon completion of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel.
You'll have a day trip to Alexandria on the third day. We will pick you up in the morning at your hotel and take you to Alexandria, where you will see the first-half of the second-century Kom El-Shoqafa Catacombs.
Then make your way to the Citadel of Qaitbay, which was constructed close to the Alexandria Lighthouse and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean. Next, stop by the expansive Alexandria Bibliotheca before enjoying a delectable lunch and making your way back to Cairo.
After lunch and a trip to Coptic Cairo on the fourth day, you will be moved to the NMEC, which contains every example of the diversity and richness that Egyptian civilization has had throughout history.
You will have the opportunity to see the Hanging Church and the Church of St. Sergius in Coptic Cairo. The church was constructed over the crypt where Jesus Christ and his mother, along with St. Joseph the carpenter, spent almost three months. Finally, you will find the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which was constructed prior to the ninth century and was used for many years as a Coptic Church before being transformed into a Jewish synagogue. We will return you to your hotel following your tour.
Transfer to Bahariya Oasis, which is approximately four hours away from Cairo, to begin the fifth day of your White Desert Tour. You will visit the Museum of Golden Mummies. The mummies were found in large Greco-Roman burial sites, where there were also the remains of an Alexander the Great Temple.
The tombs of the nobles or local rulers from the 26th dynasty will also be visible. Finally, you will have a great time sightseeing at the Temple of Muftella, which the Egyptian pharaohs erected and which is devoted to the god Bis.
After that, we'll take you to a restaurant reminiscent of an oasis where you can enjoy a delectable lunch of Egyptian cuisine. This should be an entirely new experience for you. Following that, we'll head to the White Desert to take part in an exclusive White Desert Safari. Cairo, we'll pass the Valley of El Haize, which is a green village in the middle of the desert that lies before the Black Desert, to the south of the oasis. If we have time, we might even stop to see the water spring there.
Visit Crystal Mountain to witness the stunning formations and petrified wood from a bygone era. In the Valley of Agabat, experience the thrill of sandboarding down enormous sand dunes. Before moving to the hotel for the night, we will enjoy camping in the White Desert, where we will have the rare opportunity to take in the breathtaking sunset view while your local guides prepare dinner.
Away from the smog of the larger cities, you will be able to spend your night gazing at the magnificent stars. The following morning, you will awaken to the most breathtaking sight of the rising sun over the White Desert.
Breakfast will be served in the White Desert on the sixth day while taking in the amazing ambiance. After that, you'll continue on your journey to see the natural features of the nearby desert and springs and to take pictures of the stunning white limestone rocks, which include the sphinx-shaped rock, the hill that resembles a rabbit, the chicken formation, and the whale carved into the rock.
Following that, you will be driven to Cairo while going through the Black Desert, which is a region of picturesque mountains covered in tiny black volcanic pebbles.
We will make a stop in Bahariya to see the salt lake, fruit gardens, and stunning sand dunes before returning to Cairo. The drive back to your Cairo hotel will take approximately four hours.
We will take you to the airport early on the final day of your Egypt Safari desert tour so you can catch your flight home.
